You went the school the next day earlier than usual, and seemed to be a lot brighter even though the sky was full of dark clouds.
"Hey Y/N." Jennie greeted as you approached her at the gate. You smiled brightly at her and waved.
"How are you? You okay, you haven't told me how the visit went."
Your smile only grew wider at her mentioning of Yoongi. In response, Jennie smiled too, already knowing what you're about to say.
"You two made up?" She questioned happily. You nodded your head and laughed softly before telling her everything. From what happened with Jungkook, to the present.
"Wow Y/N, I'm so sorry, are you and Kook still friends?"
You shrugged your shoulders. "I'm not sure, we haven't talked since we broke up." You informed her. Just then, you spotted Jungkook walking down the block, immediately making eye contact with you.Speak of the devil.
"Hey Jennie, hey Y/N." He greeted, smiling at the both of you. It caught you a little by surprise, considering you thought he would hate your guts right about now.
"Hey Jungkook." You replied, smiling at him.
"You guys want to hang out today? I was thinking of hitting up that new ramen place a couple blocks away from here."
"I'm down, what about you Y/N?" Jennie questioned. You smiled awkwardly and licked your lips since you were nervous.
"So sorry, but I can't...I told Yoongi I'd visit him today..."
Jungkook shrugged his shoulders as he stuffed his hands in his pockets. "It's no problem, maybe another time then?"
"S-sure.."
"Okay, well I'll see you guys later."
You and Jennie smiled and waved as he walked into the school building.
"That was awkward..." Jennie mumbled under her breath, only for you to hear. You gulped and nodded your head.
"Really awkward...but at least he's mature and doesn't hate my guts." You joked. Jennie snickered and shook her head.
"I think you're the last person he'd be mad at." Jennie whispered as the both of you began to walk inside the school building.
"What do you mean?" You questioned.
"I'm just saying you technically didn't do anything wrong. No one in your situation did. But from Jungkook's perspective, Yoongi stole you from him. If there's anyone he's mad at, it's definitely Yoongi."
You opened your mouth to speak, but the bell rang, cutting you off.
"Let's get to class." Jennie stated, starting to walk to the classroom. You sighed and closed your locker, following her not too far behind.
"Good morning class, today you'll be working on projects today as usual. But if you feel like you need to take a break." Mr.Kim paused for a second and made eye contact with you before looking back to the rest of the class. "Feel free to do so. Thank you."
The class got out of their seats and to their partners. You had already finished your piece, so you didn't really have anything to do for first period. You grabbed your violin and took out the sheet music anyway, softly playing for yourself to see if there would be any slip ups or anything you might want to edit. Your strokes had gradually gotten louder, forcing everyone to stop talking and look at you play. You hadn't noticed until you saw someone staring from from outside the door. You removed your bow from your strings and snapped your head toward the door, and saw Jungkook staring at you. When he noticed you look at him, his eyes widened a little before quickly walking away before walking past the classroom.
"That was really good Y/N." One of your peers complimented, bringing you back to reality. You smiled softly and accepted the compliments from your friends. "Thanks guys." You mumbled shyly as you put your instrument back in its case.
"Y/N, can I ask you for a favor?" Mr.Kim questioned as he filled out paper work on his desk. You nodded our head and walked over to him. "Yes?"
"I'm sorry for bothering you with this, but can you give this up to Ms.Jordin in the office on the second floor?"
You nodded your head and grabbed the paper work from his hands before walking to the elevator down the hall. When you stepped inside, you clicked the button for the second floor and took it upstairs. Once the doors opened, you saw Jimin walking down the hall hanging a poster onto the wall.
"Hey Jimin, what's up?" You greeted standing beside him.
"Hm? Oh hey Y/N. Not much, just putting these recycle posters up so people use the recycling bins around the school." He informed you. "That was the last one." He boasted dusting his hands against one another. "So what're you doing up here?" He questioned placing his hands on his hips as he looked at you.
"Just handing these to Ms.Jordin."
"Ah okay, I'll hand them in for you." He offered, taking the papers from your hands. You smiled brightly.
"Thank you Jimin."
"No problem, I'll see you later okay?"
You nodded and waved goodbye as he made his way to the office. You then walked over to the elevator and sighed when you realized it was on the fourth floor.I'm just going to walk down the stairs, it shouldn't be hard anyway considering it's one flight.
You walked over to the stair case and pulled the door open, when you suddenly bumped into someone, forcing you to stumble back a little, almost falling onto the ground. But a pair of hands quickly grabbed your waist and pulled you closer toward them to prevent you from falling.
"I'm sorry, are you okay?" The boy questioned letting go of you when he was sure you were balanced.
"Yea I'm okay, thank you so much." You dusted off your skirt before looking up to smile at the stranger. But, it was no stranger at all, it was actually Jungkook. You smiled at him awkwardly and cleared your throat as you pressed your lips together, your eyes concentrated on your feet.
"So...Yoongi's getting the transplant?" He questioned stuffing his hands in his pockets. You brought your eyes to meet his and nodded slowly.
He smiled.
"That's great, is it anytime soon?"
"Two days from now."
His smile grew wider.
"That's great! I was hoping he'd get the transplant-"
"I'm sorry, why are you being so nice to me?" You interrupted, catching him off guard. He furrowed his eyebrows together and tilted his head in confusion.
"Why wouldn't I be?"
"Well I was a huge jerk to you, and it's just I expected you to hate me because that's what always happens in-"
"In movies." He completed your sentence. Jungkook lowly chuckled and shook his head. "Aigoo Y/N, this is real life, not the movies. Plus, hate is a strong word, and it's definitely not the first word I would associate with you. Maybe Yoongi a little bit." He joked.
"So..you're not mad?"
Jungkook shook his head. "I love you, don't get me wrong, but you seem much happier with Yoongi than with me. I'm fine, I just need time to move on completely. Wounds won't heal if you don't let them after all." He explained. You smiled at Jungkook warmly. "You're really mature, and I appreciate that."
Jungkook cocked up his eyebrow and gave you a funny looking smirk. "You already know." He responded. The both of you laughed and he got out of the doorway.
"Tell hyung I say good luck, fighting!" He waved his fist in the air playfully.
"Fighting!" You chuckled back before walking down the staircase. This is great. Jungkook doesn't hate me, Yoongi loves me, this is great. For once in my life I'm happy.
You smiled as you entered the classroom and took your seat. The rest of the day went by really quickly, and you were really excited to tell Yoongi that Jungkook still thinks about him positively. When the final bell rang, you packed up your things into our bag and walked over to the school gate, when you felt your phone vibrate in your jacket pocket.
"Hello? Y/N?"
"Hello, who is this?" You questioned as you sighed at the rain pouring from the sky.
I didn't bring an umbrella.
"It's Mrs.Min, Yoongi's mom."
You hesitated, but you stepped into the cold water, quickly walking to the tree nearby.
"Hello Mrs.Min, what's wrong?"
"It's Yoongi, he's not doing so well."
