"Grannyy!!" Marlene screamed jumping out the SUV.

"Hi baby" Kathy opened her arms hugging Marlene.

"Where Brayden?" Kathy asked fixing Marlene's curly hair.

Marlene rolled her eyes, "back home. He boring grandma"

"Have you been mean to your brother?" Kathy raised her eyebrow

Marlene looked at her innocently, "no ma'am"

"She lying ma" Brandon said walking into the house with her two suitcases.

Marlene smacked her teeth, "no i haven't"

Kathy sighed, "chile one day you gon learn" she said taking Marlene into the house.

"Miaaaaa!" Marlene screamed seeing her favorite cousin in the living room.

"Lennyyy!" Mia screamed as they hugged each other.

"I missed you sooo much" they said in unison and then giggled.

"Savage!" Marlene screamed hugging him.

"Wassup shorty" he said in a low tone voice

"Where's Bray" he asked.

Marlene shrugged, "being boring. Honestly I don't know how I'm so hype and he's just so... so..." she said trying to find the right word.

"...so lame" she finally said.

Mia laughed, "Lenny stop being mean to your brother"

"I don't care honestly" she said.

Mia sighed, "okay well, what do you want to do first?"

Marlene tapped her chin, "uhmm lets go visit uncle Herb"

Mia shrugged, "I don't think he's in town. On Wednesday dad called him and I over heard him say aunt Kathy, him and Randall where in LA"

Marlene moaned, "okay so are any of our uncles here?"

"Nah" savage said while pushing buttons on his PS4 controller.

Marlene huffed, "now what?"

"Well we could go to the pier and just chill" Mia suggested.

"Marlene com'er" Brandon said from upstairs.

She rolled her eyes and walked up the stairs.

"Yes" she said turning on her sweet voice.

"I just got word that I gotta fly back to Atlanta for BET weekend. So I booked us a flight and we leaving tomorrow early morning"

Marlene opened her mouth, shocked.

"Dad no" she whined, "can't I stay here with grandma?"

Brandon shook his head, "she's coming with us"

"Whyyy dad!" Marlene whined.

"Girl stop all that whining" Kathy came in, "be grateful you can fly up and down the country with no problem. All that damn whining you doing"

Marlene stood quiet.

"Don't make me get into a lecture cus you know I'll go there" Kathy said zipping her suitcase.

"I'm sorry grandma" Marlene apologized.

"Be grateful. Y'all kids running round here spoiled rotten. Fucking ridiculous" Kathy said walking out the room.

Marlene looked at her dad, pouting.

"Don't look at me like that. You better go enjoy your company before we leave" Brandon pointed.
