A few months later.

"Man you silly as hell" I laughed at Project.

We was at Gia's LA house for a barbecue to celebrate that Brayden made it to the NBA.

"Alright ya'll the chicken is ready" Gia said holding the tray of grilled chicken.

"That shit smells exquisite" ManMan got up and almost knocked Gia over.

"Aye man we gotta say grace first" She said swatting ManMan's hand away from the chicken.

We walked to the table Gia had outside.

My momma, Ms. Sho, Herb, Shawn, and the rest of em where already sitting there.

Brayden was in the pool with lil Savage and Mia having a water gun fight.

"Whew alright ya'll lets bow our heads" My momma said.

We all held hands and bowed our heads.

Once we said grace it was time to eat.

"Aye man pass me the potato salad and some wings" Mally said already stuffing his face.

We ate and then we just went back to the outside lounge area by the pool

iMessage: "Hey baby"

I looked at my phone and furrowed my eyebrows.

I already know who this was.

I unlocked my phone and texted Herb and Shawn.

"Aye im finna slide. Got sum shit to handle"

I got up and went to Gia.

"Hey, I got some stuff to pick up but ima be back later on" I said kissing her forehead.

Gia and I wasn't together but we had a good relationship.

We was like best friends and I was okay with that.

I realized that i'd rather have her close as a friend then to not have her at all.

She wasn't really dating so my nerves was good for now.

"huh? where are you going?" She said confused.

"Ima be back later" I said rushing out, not really trying to give an explanation.
