"Girl that's what I told Wayne" I said strolling through my room.

"Well I don't know Len but Chris said he had a crush on you the other day at the kickback" my best friend Kenny said.

I rolled my eyes, "girl Chris is a drug dealer and so is his father and brother. I don't think my dad would be too fond of him"

"Well I'm just relying the message" She said.

"Marlene come to my office. I want to speak with you" my mom said from down stairs.

"Girl I gotta go my mom wants to speak to me"

"Ok see ya later" She said and then I hug up.

I threw my phone on the bed and walked downstairs towards her office.

"Yes ma'am" I said coming in.

"Sit down" she pointed to the chair in front of her.

I sat down and looked at her. She didn't looked too happy.

"Considering the fact that your grades were impeccable this year I am thinking about letting you go live with your father for the summer" she said.

My mouth dropped, "seriously?!"

She nodded.

"Wow I mean yes!" I said almost speechless.

"Keep in mind that you need to work on your attitude and respect your elders as well as anyone who's above you"

I nodded, not really paying attention to the details.

"Your father will be back and forth from Chicago, New York, and LA. He won't be with you as much as you think"

"Well I beg to differ but okay"

I saw her get annoyed.

"I mean yes ma'am. I'll be fine"

"You're leaving next week with your grandma. Ticket has already been bought"

I smiled, "thank youuuu"

She half smiled, "all I ask is that you follow the rules, be respectful, and don't have ya lil attitude because your grandma will smack you"

"Okay I won't" I said getting up, "is that all?"

She nodded. I turned around and walked out her office.

Guess my mom wasn't that bad after all.
