Asia Artist Awards 2019

It was only around 4 p.m.

But fans were already crowding outside of the Sejong Center, which would be hosting the 2019 Asia Artist Awards at 7 p.m sharp.

The fans were eager to see their favourite idols performing on a large stage, and snatch some awards home.

Celebrities arrived at different times, heading straight to the red carpet where media reporters were flooded at.

Blackpink arrived in a black, fancy van, similar to the ones that the rest of the celebrities came with. The fans camping outside the hall were roaring their names as they stepped out of the van, making them feel so loved. They were donned in elegant black and red dresses, that gives off the vibes of savage yet cute out of them. Slay.

The screams of the fans were magnified when they saw another van arriving a second later. It was BTS.

It was quite intriguing how their fans could recognize them from the tinted windows of the van that is the exact same type as the ones everyone else was in.

Eh, forget about that. Taehyung probably did something like:

'@BTS_bighit tweeted: we're here, scream TAEHYUNG OUT LOUD KAY I LOVE U GUYS'

From the inside of the vehicle, the boys were amazed on how many fans were already at the venue, they appreciated every banners showing Army's love towards them.

Then they saw four girls stepping out from the van in front of them.

"Oooo look at that, isn't that Blackpink?"
Hobi exclaimed.

"Yaaaaah, they're so pretty." Jin said.

"We should probably go greet them right? We've never actually talked to them before." Namjoon suggested, and the boys just agreed.

"That's a good idea." Yoongi said.

"Holy cow, why am I nervous all of the sudden?" Taehyung said, and Jimin just chuckled beside him.

But amidst their excitement, there was one member who actually wasn't paying attention to his surroundings. Jungkook's mind wanders off to somewhere else in the universe, and occasionally he could feel pain stabbing in his chest. This has been going on for more than a month now, but the members thought it was okay eventhough Jungkook seemed quite weird, because the maknae wasn't always completely off plus he never did say anything to them.

Or maybe he's just that good at pretending to be fine?

Anyways.

As soon as the car came to a halt, the door opened and came out seven wonders of Korea, perfectly dressed in black and white suits, their dark hairs complimenting every part of them.

Namjoon, being the gentleman he is, led his team to the girls and approached them first.

"Hi there Blackpink," he greeted with a bow, flashing his dimples. The rest of the boys followed him.

"Annyeonghaseyo sunbaenim." The girls bowed back to them.

"It's the first time we greeted each other, nice to meet you guys." Hobi said, smiling to the girls.

"N-neh, it's an amazing honor for us." Jennie replied. The girls were so nervous now, I mean, it's BTS, man.

Jin laughed, "What are you saying, we're just fellow idols, not superheroes."

"Hyung, that doesn't make sense." Jimin snickered from behind, making all of them laugh.

All the while, there were two people who really didn't look like a part of the conversation.

Chaeyoung tried her best to avoid making an eye contact with Jungkook, so she looked at everywhere else but him and the ground, because it would look very awkward to the guys and her members if she kept her eyes on the ground.

But there's no avoiding it, I guess. They accidentally met each other's eyes in a short second, and it felt like a thousand needles pricking her head as memories of two months ago resurfaced.

And it seems like it's in Chaeyoung's fate that Blackpink were given seats right behind BTS in the hall.

BTS were sitting at the front row, while Blackpink shared a row behind them with Red Velvet, their bestfriends.

As usual, the boys were wildly extra. Especially Taehyung and Jin. It seems like they're always ready for the camera that randomly pops up their face on the big screen. Everyone was entertained by their antics, and Chaeyoung found herself smiling too. But she noticed how beside the energetic and playful Taehyung, was a silent Jungkook with a weak smile.

She saw how his smile immediately disappear when the camera points at somewhere else, a frown replacing it. It's like he was distressed.

And Chaeyoung couldn't help but think that it has to do with the confession thing.

Did it really affect him that badly?

Jungkook still managed to control himself, he was well aware that the fans are probably recording him throughout the night. He can't show any signs of weakness.

 
 
 

To say that BTS were amazing that night is an understatement.

Blackpink hurried back to their seats after their performance of Playing With Fire and As If It's Your Last, which, you know, has been going on for too long now. The girls gave it their all nevertheless. Now they were back in their seats, clapping in joy as BTS started to perform.

The background video started playing, showing BTS in their early days of debut until now. The screen went black, and the word "BTS: THROWBACK PARTY" appeared on it in large fonts.

The crowd totally went crazy as BTS performed War Of Hormone, Save Me and Dope.

The powerful dance moves, the notes, the coordination, the stage presence. The boys nailed every one of it.

It seems like the fans really missed their old songs, so performing it again was a blessing.

Idol groups that attended watched them perform in awe, aspiring to be like them. Remaining a professional, yet enjoying what they do at the same time.

 

 
 
 
The night ended just like that after the awards giving ceremony ended. Chaeyoung on the other hand, was still disturbed by the thought that Jungkook hasn't moved on, and a part of her feels guilty for it.

She shakes her head, shrugging it off, convincing herself over and over again.

It's got nothing to do with me. Right. It's got nothing to do with me.
