Sacrifice

Chapter 5

Leo's POV

Well, things couldn't be any worse. Our brother is dying, and there is nothing we can do. The only cure involves a flower only found in Australia. Shredder purposely threw that poison at us because he knew that we'd have to go running to him to save Donnie. He must have a plan, there is no doubt about it. And the worst part is that no netter what Shredder wants, we'll have to give it to him in order to save Donnie.

Splinter is currently looking after Donnie, he's trying to heal him with the healing hands. He's been in there all day and nothing it hasn't been working. The healing hands may have helped us in the passed however in this case the poison is just too strong.

I sit on the couch, the tv is on however both Raph and I are not paying attention to the tv. Raph sits across from me on the chair, he is in deep thought. Once Mikey comes in and takes a seat next to me I know it's time to start discussing.

"So, it looks like we're just going to have to fall into Shredder's trap." I say talking to both my brothers.

Their attention goes from their thoughts over to me. "What do you mean?" Raph asks sounding frustrated with my comment.

"Shredder has the cure, and we're going to get it from him." I state.

"I followed that much but what do you mean we're going to fall into his trap? We can steal the cure from him." Raph explains.

"Donnie is sick Raph, Shredder did this to him. He had no intentions on killing him immediately."

"Then why would the Shredder do this to him Leo?"

"I don't know what Shredder wants, but all I know is that he has the cure. I bet Shredder wants something from us, almost as if he wants to make a deal!"

"Making a deal with the devil never turns out well, you should know that Leo."

"Donnie will die if we leave him here. If the Shredder wants a deal then we'll give him one."
"We can't go in and try to steal it. If we fail then what? It's too much to gamble for, we're not risking Donnie's life here." I say trying to defend my point.

"If we give Shredder what he wants he'll keep on using is," Mikey adds on clearly taking Raph's side.

"I'd rather m go to Australia and smuggle that plant back than make a deal with the Shredder." Raph says. "Mikey is right, and how do you know he'll even give us the cure?"

Arguing is getting us nowhere's. I know where Raph and Mikey are coming from but making a deal with the Shredder is most likely the best way to go.

"Donnie will die is a matter of days, that's all I know. You guys so what you want but I'm going to see what Shredder has to offer." I say getting off the couch and walking towards the exit.

"You're crazy Leo, we can find a better way!" Raph calls out.

"I don't think you understand." I say as I grab my katanas. "We just don't have time for another plan."
