Sometimes it mattered when some couple who doesn't know how to hide their affection would just bloom in front of some place else. Be it the library, parks, boat cruising and whatnot. None of them really counted. What mattered was that someone else was feeling awkward and embarrassed because they couldn't contain it, they couldn't hold themselves.

Castellone tried to refrain from glowering at the couple when he wanted to just stay in the silence of the library. But today was not his day either as the couple flirted a few tables in front of him. There was definitely no silence there, not one bit.

The girl stole a kiss, and the boy kissed her back. Was it really a coincidence that it was just the three of them in the library right now? What happened to the students who worked their brains out until all the information from researching had drove them insane? Where were the staffs who made sure that the library's surroundings were quiet at all times? None? No one?

He sighed in defeat. He knew the sources he needed were just hiding between the pages of the books that lined the corner of his eyes. But the lovely scenery in front of him wasn't helping him concentrate and finish the damn job. There was only one place he knew that had no distractions. His dorm room.

Hey, Llone.

Castellone was on his desk still trying to finish the report he forgot to do within the digital verses of his laptop. Now he was forced to cram it. While he worked on it, now silently, Specter had been the annoying inner voice that disturbed him when he just wanted to focus on working. His day seemed to be full of obstructions, like they were trying to keep him from passing.

Hey, Llone.

Irritated, he almost slammed the keyboard just to distract himself from replying to the voice but it was hard to ignore Specter especially if his voice rung loud from within him and he was ever the only one who could hear it. "What?"

I have a treat for you.

Castellone scoffed. He didn't have time for Specter's nonsense and decided to resume what he was doing. It was much more important anyway. "Whatever."

No, no, listen. This time I'm going to let you see it.

"What are you talking about?" He asked, irritated.

Specter laughed hoarsely, as if triumphant in annoying Castellone. It died down soon and didn't bother him. For a while at least, or so he thought.

Castellone's fingers played with the keyboard when he was no longer a nuisance. After a few moments, he was focused on accomplishing what he had to do. He hated that he had to cram a major that was due in less than 24 hours. He hated that he actually preferred to rest during the days when Specter drained his psyche. He was forced to regain himself and disliked how weak he felt after taking hold of his body again.

His vessel wasn't something he wanted to share with anything, especially to something that doesn't really exist in this world. He had no idea how to prevent the entity from performing stunts he couldn't do when he was not around. He had no reason to share himself just for the pleasure of one such demented mind.

Suddenly, Castellone felt himself tremble, and his vision darkened for a second. He knew Specter was about to surface out as it tried to take control of his body again. He closed his eyes at the pain, his teeth were gritted. "Stay away, Specter."

But Specter didn't. Right after he said that, his soul was pulled out of the physical world. But this time around, he wasn't dragged into the darkness of the abyss like he was usually forced to do. He saw his physical form staring at his soul with a sneer where Specter had taken over. He knew then that Specter wanted him to see how his life would play in the chords of his melody.
