"Anthony where are you taking me!" I demanded.
"Somewhere trust your brother."
"You're more like a really good friend. Even if we share DNA."
We stopped talking. You could cut the tension with a knife.
"How come?" Ant asked after about 20 minuets.
"How come what?"
"How come we don't act like brother and sister. We do have the same dad."
I started laughing. "You're sleeping with my cousin."
"I'll stop. But I want us to at least try."
"Anthony look it's..." he cut me off.
"I have 4brothers and 2 sisters and I only know you." He sighed. "I only met our Pops twice and the last time I seen him he gave me a 100 dollars and said 'buy something nice'. I was 10."
"Good. At least you got to meet him." I chuckled dryly.
"Good. He ain't no good. Last thing I heard he was a crackhead somewhere in New York."
"I never had a real brother Marcus..."
"Is a clown and I got ya back." I hugged him.
I never thought we would be having these deep ass conversations but here we are. We kept driving for about 20 minuets till we pulled up by this lake house.
"Are we bout to rob some white peoples?" I asked. Last time I was put in a position like this it wasn't good.
"Nah. But you might be mad at me."
"Why would I..." when I looked forward I saw Romeo in a black suit and tie. Tears started forming in my eye. "Why would you do this?"
"He loves you... and he threatened my life." He joked or at least I think he was. "Look just talk to him. Imma be right here waiting for you." I don't know what came over me but I found myself taking a deep breath and getting out the car. The distance between Romeo and I got smaller and smaller until I was standing in front of him.
"Baby" he whispered. "I've missed you."
"You always miss me." I say with attitude. He pulled me by my waist into his body.
"We need to work on this attitude. I love when your more...compliant."
"There is no more we remember." I spat.
"Actually I don't remember us breaking up."
"You didn't come after me."
"I didn't think you wanted me to."
I always want you to come after me.
I thought to myself. I just stared in his eyes.
"My dad wants me to move to Miami. Put in work with my uncle... But I'm not gonna leave you."
"And why not?"
"Because..." he looked at my lips biting his own. "I love you. More than the money."
"I love being compare to money." I said sarcastically. Romeo slapped my ass causing me to hiss.
"My baby has a bad attitude. Seems like daddy's gonna have to fix that."
"You're not my daddy."
"I'm always daddy."
"I've missed you Romeo." I kissed his lips.
"Don't ever leave me again." He picked me up and brought me in the house.
"Wait Ant..."
"Is gone he wasn't gonna stay. I threatened his life." He said kissing my neck.
When he finally put me down I saw a candle lit dinner.
I was speechless.
"This was your birthday dinner that I fucked up. Do over?"
I nodded and kissing his lips. "Do over."
