Nova POV
I drove back to the house with quickness. I couldn't take this no more. Being with him was starting to be toxic. I booked that first flight out which leaves in three hours. I only packed what was mine. I didn't feel right taking the things he had gotten me. When it was all set and done. I had two duffle bags filled. I left the car keys in the counter as the cab pulled up.
Before I  could get in someone called my name.
"Super  Nova wait up!" It was James. "Where you going?"
"Back to Richmond."
"Come on Nova . You know this is just how you guys are."
I looked at his swollen lip and black eye. Taking my hand I gently touch his face. James always had a beautiful face. And Romeo did this to his best friend. "But that isn't how we are supposed to be."
"Let him fix it. He loves you Nova."
" Romeo loves how he controls me. He doesn't love me...Please don't tell him where I'm going." I begged.
"That's my brother I can't lie to him."
"Please. I can't be like this anymore."
"Look maybe if you guys could just talk it out." He compromised.
I shake my head feeling tears fall. "There a lot of things that happen. Things no one knows about. I don't wanna live my life always fighting because I love him. If he really loves me than these things wouldn't happen."
"Nova  he hit you?"
"He never did. But...I'm not gonna ruin you guys relationship. It's not my place. But please don't tell him where I'm going."
He hugged me. "I promise."
"James." I kissed his cheek. "Bye."
James POV
Driving back to my place took less time seeing it as the quicker I get there the fast I could kill Romeo.
"Did you find her where...." before he could finish I punched him in the face.
"You hit her?!"
"What?"
"Did you hit Nova?" I asked again.
"No man I ain't hit her. Why would you ask that?"
"I saw her right before she left to go to a hotel..." I lied. "She said a lot of things happened." Romeo stayed quiet. "What happened?"
"I cheated on her." He hung his head low.
"What? When?" I couldn't believe this shit. Romeo was all about Nova.
"It happened when we first got here remember she went back to Richmond to get some of her shit. Well she came back early and caught the girl in the house."
I can't believe Romeo is this stupid. Nova was everything a guy could want.
"Why would you do that?"
"It was a mistake. I was drunk and shit happened."
"Well that shit just costed you your family."
"She'll be back."
"No she won't Ro. I don't get it. You worked so hard to get her just to lose her."
"I don't even remember what happened. We put it past us. All this is happened because I want the baby."
"You see that's the problem. It's about you. This whole time I've been hearing about you. You real selfish man. And I don't wanna be apart of this anymore."
"What you saying bruh?"
"Voy a volver a Cuba la próxima semana. Ya hablé con tu papa" (i'm going back to cuba next week. I already talked to your dad).
"Así que solo me vas a dejar. Pensé que éramos hermanos" (So you're just gonna leave me. I thought we were brothers).
"Este tipo delante de mí no es mi hermano. No sé quién es él." (This guy in front of me is not my brother. I don't know who he is). I said feeing my eyes start to burn. "You should go man. Ain't nothing else to discuss."
"You gonna leave me over a bitch!" He yelled.
I turned to face him. "I thought Nova was a Queen". I walked up stairs to my run getting everything together. I never really liked America anyway.
Nova POV
"Ant open the door!" I yelled banging on his front door. It's about 7 in the am and I just wanna sleep. I had stayed in a hotel room when I first got here. Trying to figure out my next move.
"Nova?" He questioned opening the door rubbing his eyes. "What are you doing here?"
"Me and Romeo broke up. And I need somewhere to stay seeing that my house is foreclosed." He opened the door wider pulling me into a hug.
"I'm so sorry sis." He said as I started crying.
He grabbed my bags showing me to his grandma bedroom. She moved closer to her sister leaving him the house.
"For what it's worth. You were to good to him anyway." I smiled. Anthony left and I looked down at my stomach. "I guess this is it baby." I said rubbing my stomach. "Right now I'm not even sure I should have you."
Romeo POV
My girl and best friend all in one day. All in one night. I sat at the bar drinking away my life. I called her a bitch. I can't believe I did that. James was right I am selfish.
"Excuse." Some girl said tapping my shoulder. She was cute.
"Yeah?"
"Umm my friends and I were looking at you and we think you should come drink with us." She whispered biting on my ear.
I had no brother no girlfriend and I big empty house. Fuck it. "How bout y'all come home with me."
"All of us?" She looked shocked yet turned on.
I nodded my head biting my lower lip.
*** next morning ***
I was in a deep sleep. That was before my curtains were drawn open. The sunshine bright in my face.
"Así que esto es en lo que se ha convertido mi único hijo. Una patética pieza de mierda." (So this is what my only son has become. A pathetic piece of shit). My father said pulling the cover off of me revealing three girls.
"All of you get the fuck up dressed and out of this house now." He said calmly pulling out his gun.
They all screamed in fear. I just shrugged my shoulders.
"Put that away." I told my father. That was before he slapped me across my already bruised face.
"What is this I hear from James. Nova left? You cheated?"
"It's funny how you know all this but you didn't tell me James was leaving."
"That's business. None of yours. It's what his father would have wanted."
"But what about me?"
"I gave you what I wanted. I gave you the love of your life and where is she now?" I stayed silent. "Exactly now you are alone."
"I thought you wanted me to be alone."
"I wanted you to grow up! Does this look grown up to you Romeo!?" He yelled.
He pulled out a cigar and should by the window.
"There's a shipment coming in 45 minutes. Be there." He demanded. "And stop drinking before I have to bury you."
