I want to lay under the stars
with you and feel the weight of the world drift to the sky
trace the deeply delicate scars
that you punished yourself with each cry
every tear, a stab to your heart
every breath, a torture to your soul
I wish I could take you back to the start
I wish I could make you feel whole
again but those forked faded lines
they're each a caress of a story
they call out signs
of your own graceful glory
you don't have to worry,
my darling, they're all screaming out a victory
don't you be in a hurry
and let them be a contradictory
because they've made you ascend
instead of letting you end
