Latibule
(n.) A hiding place; a place of safety and comfortAnd who knows
if this lasts but
as long as you're the
welcoming warmth
of the sun on
the coldest day
and the cool breeze
of the summer air
I'll choose youAnd who knows
when the tsunami hits
and we drown
in the territory
of unknown reasons
and misunderstandings
clashes of lightning
and thunder
but as long as
you hold my hand
through the harsh waves of life
I know I'll be safeAnd the seas
could turn to deserts
and the cities
could collide
with the oceans
I'll still be with youBecause you're my hiding place
a latibule of safety and comfort
the overwhelming sensation
of belonging trembles inside me
when I'm with youAnd no matter
how many paths
change their courses
I'll still choose you
over and over again
