Kat was sat on the railing of the control panel, her hand on Lila's thigh. Their feet were swinging back and forth like children.
"So you killed him, basically?" She asked, referencing Robert.
"Nobody can withstand my awesomeness."
"Anyway, I'm bored. Also, I didn't know the gold dust magic stuff could heal my arm." Kat took the gun from her pocket, examining the little blood stains dotting its trigger and surrounding metal.
"Put the gun down. Unless it's from Guardians of the Galaxy. Then keep the gun. Otherwise kill the gun. Yes."
Kat shrugged, jumping off the railing and starting down the hall. "I'm good."
"Oi! You are not good!" The Doctor began trailing after her.
"Catch!" Kat yelled, darting the opposite direction, not actually throwing anything. She ran back to the control room.
The Doctor did not realize she hadn't thrown anything. He ran after the nonexistent object, faceplanting about three steps in.
Kat stopped, leaning over the railing.
"Alrighty, so I have a gun- which you don't like; it has no ammunition- which is good for you-but I don't feel like handing it over so... Compromise? I leave the gun in the library."
"Give me the gun."
"But why?" she whined.
"Because you're an irresponsible 659 year old."
"And you're not?"
"I'm not 659."
Kat jumped the railing, looking to Lila, who wasn't paying attention.
"Why don't we like guns?"
"Because guns hurt people."
"But this has no ammunition."
"I don't care."
"Fine," Kat held the gun out slightly, smiling.
The Doctor reached out and took the gun from her. "Thank you," the Doctor said in a sing-song voice.
Kat ran back to the railing, grabbing Lila's hand and staring at the controls impatiently.
"Why are you in such a hurry?" the Doctor inquired.
"Things. Reasons," Kat blinked, "more reasons."
"Well, by all means," He gestured to the controls.
"Not now," she shook her head violently, "Not today. Can't drive today."
"Why not?"
"Some reasons, very good reasons I have not thought of yet."
"Then where would you like to go?"
"Aliens!" Kat shouted.
"That's rude!"
"What?"
"They have species you know. Technically humans and Time Lords are aliens."
"Aliens. Memes. I don't know anymore. New planet! Go!" Kat pet Lila's head.
He beamed at her. "Hold on."
Kat, too busy concentrating on Lila's head, stopped listening, falling to the ground when he set the T.A.R.D.I.S. in motion.
"She's a smart one, Miss Kit Kat."
"Very lovely," Lila replied absentmindedly.
"I know," he replied, dancing to the other side, doing the cha cha slide.
"She's exquisite," she mumbled.
"More like... anchovies."
Kat whirled around. "Thanks, Dad, thanks."
"Still lovely either way," Lila murmured to herself, quite loudly.
"TO EARTH! SOMEWHERE!" Kat yelled, hitting the one button and pulling the levers and such. She smiled sheepishly. "Change of plans?"
"Works for me," he said smiling.
