The large man looked out of place in the small chair in front of my desk "You pack weapons food and seeds... and don't think I don't know about your weed and tobacco plants." He didn't even blush "but you can't pack basic necessities for children and feminine hygiene products?"

He shrugged "Guess I'm not perfect."

I rolled my eyes and huffed a laugh "Ya know Mac what this means?"

"Nope."

"It means that you me and two other people get to go on a supply run for a list that I am currently having made."

He nodded "when do we leave?"

"They need the stuff tomorrow."

"So tonight?"

"No early tomorrow I was thing seven or eight in the morning."

He leaned back in the chair "I think I know just the people, let me know when you have the list and I will have them in here."

"Alright, for now though work on moving those bodies."

He got up to leave then turned back "Once we get the trucks loaded with the dead how do you plan of safely getting them to the burn point?"

"An escort, two for each vehicle and clear a house across from the park to post up and control the burn there is a street literally right in view of the burn spot."

"Are you worried about it getting out of hand?"

"No, now please let me get back to work."

The sound of trucks rolling down the road had me peeking out of the second floor window of the house I was hiding in. I saw a line consisting of five large dulys with the beds piled high with bodies pull to a halt at a still functional kiddie water park. I was mildly amazed they hadn't attracted any zombies or survivors though I knew there was plenty I had seen the curtains on the surrounding houses twitch periodically. I watched as they spread out I assumed they were trying to cut the water to the play area. I watched as they succeed then started stacking the bodies in a neat pile once a truck was emptied it left. They doused each layer with gasoline then once finished set it all ablaze leaving four behind to monitor the burn pile.

I exited the house I was holed up in, the smell of burning bodies increasing the closer I got. The four turned to look at me as I approached a rag held over my face to block the smell. The strangers all had covers on their face and eyes blocking the smell better than my rag.

"Good afternoon, my name is joe and I'm lookin for a woman named Lauren I heard she was in this area."

They shifted sharing looks "What is to you?"

"I'm just an old friend we used to work in the same medical facility not too long ago."

"Friend or less than friend?"

"Friends, if you follow me back to my hide out we can discuss this further, you can see the fire clearly from there."

Once inside I led them to the top floor and they took off their masks the smell here much weaker. I saw now that three of them were men and one an Asian woman with tattoos peeking from under her collar.

"Find a seat and I'll see if I can't find y'all a snack." I dug through the pile of food and pulled out some oatmeal cream pies "She told me she was coming here to start a safe house said she knew something I didn't so when I heard about zombies I thought I might come here looking for her."

"Well she is here but I'm not sure if she has opened the camp to survivors yet." The Asian woman said

"I'm sure she will make an exception for an old friend"

"Ten we will send you on the next truck." A skinny black man said
