This is a sequel, the one before this is on my page and is called "Bechloe - Chicago was a mistake"
Beca's POV
"Chloe I'm not going to go to see another therapist. I'm okay without one."
"That's a lie and you know it. You need help just get it already." We were having yet another fight about me getting help. I didn't want to because I haven't had a good time in the past and another reason but she wants me to and I still haven't told her why. We've only been together a couple months and somehow all of our arguments end with the same thing, my refusal to get help. The dog helps a bit at least. When we fight she'll come and cuddle me because she's mine while Chloe typically leaves for work or to go hang out with the Bellas. 'I know that for a relationship to work properly both parties have to try and make it work but I just don't deserve her. Part of me is hoping that she'll just leave me, she deserves better anyway.' I just kept pushing her further and further away and I was just kept getting more emotional numb. After Chloe and I got together I got myself back in Emily's good books. I'd pushed her away when she needed help. She was like a daughter or a little sister to me so once I found out I started helping her.
Emily's POV
'It's just not the same without Beca. Yeah, okay I get to talk to her every now and then when I have a break down but the Bella hangouts aren't as fun and I don't know why but Chloe always turns up upset. Unfortunately, she considers me too young to confide in me. Because Beca isn't here I don't really feel like a part of the group.' She was the one who included me. Sometimes the others would talk to me but it was little conversations away from everyone else while they talked to Chloe. At that point I kind of gave up hanging out with the Bellas sometimes and would just go meet up with Beca. She had loads of useful tips for me to use but she was also upset most of the time and would never tell me why. The bonuses of hanging out with Beca instead of the group go as follows, Luna and the epic music room she had. I adored Luna, she was so cute and fluffy. The music room was pretty cool too, she had cables to hook any instrument up to her computer, a couple different instruments and an awesome microphone. Since Amy and Aubrey were still not that happy with Beca I always had to leave before Chloe got back so they wouldn't find out about me and her. I almost got caught a couple times but luckily Chloe was typically drunk and always easily distracted.
Narrator's POV
That night was the same as any other. The Bellas were out drinking away their sorrows while Beca, Emily and Luna hung out. Luna was just a pup still and easy to pick up so she currently resided in Beca's arms while Emily was at the piano. Emily was going over some of her songs and Beca would sometimes join in, making a mix. If they were really lucky so would the dog.
Typically a group performance would be the best part of Emily's week but she had something else on her mind. She was stressing about a concert. She always did and this one was no excuse. It was the first since she'd been diagnosed and she wasn't completely sure she was ready. She needed support, she needed Beca but she wanted to help her as well. At this point Beca could sense that something was wrong. Emily had been so deep in thought she hadn't even laughed when Luna joined into the song and the emotion in her voice wasn't the same.
"Emily what's wrong? I haven't seen you this down since the first time you met Luna and I told you you couldn't take her home." Her comment caused me to chuckle a little.
"I've just been meaning to ask you something."
"And what's that Legacy?" She reminded her so much of a big sister she'd always wanted but never had. Her eyes were wide and Beca looked excited for her.
"I've got my first show next week and I need you there. I just don't think I can do it in my own."
"We'll be there."
"You can't bring Chloe."
"I was on about the dog I figured I couldn't bring your other aca-mom."
"Thank you so much." Emily got up from the keyboard and went over to hug her mentor. She wasn't sure she was going to agree at first and was struggling with asking her.The sound of a person stumbling through the front door told the girls it was time for Emily to leave. Beca walked downstairs still with the puppy in her arms and approached her girlfriend.
"Hey Chlo how was your evening?"
"Meh." Those two had been growing apart lately but a very rather drunken red head didn't care about feelings that night. She threw herself at Beca but immediately stepped back when she heard a whimper and a growl. Only one of which came from the puppy. Chloe stepped back, obviously a bit confuzzled.Beca's POV
"What the heck was that for?"
"I'm sorry I don't know." I don't know why but just smelling the alcohol on her breath triggered something in me. It reminded me of when I was younger and what my mom's boyfriend used to do. The dog must of sensed this and growled at her to back away. I walked over to my purse that hung by the door and pulled out some mints before offering one to her.
"What's this for?" I could just about make out what she said.
"Your breathe stinks like alcohol, maybe a mint will help." Luckily she didn't question it. She just shrugged and took one as I put the dog down.Narrator's POV
When Chloe didn't go out with the Bellas she was typically her usual bubbly self but her attitude towards Beca was slowly changing. She unconsciously noticed that Beca was closing herself off even more and not letting her in, unconsciously she did the same. Whenever Chloe asked Beca what was wrong she'd never answer her, just give her a small fake smile and hope she wouldn't see the emptiness in her eyes. Whatever was said about the red head, persistence would always be one of her traits; from convincing Beca to join the Bellas to persuading the entire group to go to Emily's concert, she could do it all.
Author's Note:
So I know this is pretty short but it seemed like a good ending and I wanted to get the first chapter of this story as the last of the other up. I hope you enjoy and in case you don't know, Luna is based on my puppy and we should be getting another one this weekend so don't be surprised if there are some puppy pics as headers. Okay I hope you enjoyed the chapter and I'll try and update sooner next time.
