Trigger Warning I think - Domestic Abuse

Beca's POV

Two years it'd been now. Two fucking years without them. I was just so fed up, I couldn't be alone anymore. I had to find some way to fix my messed up life. Even if I never got to see her or any of them again, I just wanted them to be safe from her threats. I tried to replace how alone I was. I made new 'friends' everyday. Every night I took someone new home. Never the same person and people knew it was only for one night. Sometimes it was girls, sometimes guys; on a rare occasion both. No one was safe. I couldn't get too close to anyone anyway. Wouldn't want to risk anyone else's life now would I?

Two whole years since I'd seen any of them. Twelve years since we'd met. I still remembered the days very vividly, especially my first day at Barden. I met Jesse, Aubrey, Fat Amy and Red. The smile she'd given me; I knew from the start she was cute.
"Will you help make our dreams a reality?"
"Sorry I don't even sing." She didn't know what she did to me but damn those eyes. I'd been with more people than the years I'd been alive and yet no one could sweep me off my feet like her. 12 years I'd known her, now that was down the drain.

I'd won a couple awards for my music and stuff. My personal favourite was being of Forbes list of the hottest 100 woman. I beat Emily. She was doing well too. Owning her thing. I was even considering proposing we collaborate, people would love that. I didn't really care what people wanted of me. I'd already done that for years and it just wasn't my thing. You can't please everyone. There were even fan accounts dedicated to me. Course I grew up with Tumblr so I created a fan account for myself. People were always asking where I got my pictures from, they had no idea. As for the typical ships, there were a few. People had seen articles and Bella videos so the most popular ship was Bechloe. As much as I wanted to give the fans what they want, there's only so much I could do. She probably hates my guts.

I was cooking yet another girl a goodbye breakfast when I got a call from my assistant. Nice dude, he reminded me of me in my college days so I gave him a shot. After high school he'd moved to LA in the hopes of getting somewhere. My dad stopped my chances of that but I wanted to know where it would take this kid. He was good at what he did but he looked too much into the patterns of the song. He made a few good mixes but there was nothing special to them, yet. He'd called to let me know I had an invite, apparently it couldn't wait. Rather than work 9-5 Monday to Friday I had different hours. 1-7 Monday through Friday. By working less hours a day and more days I week I actually put in more time overall and got to keep my not a morning person persona. It was still only 11ish when he called, apparently this invite was one he didn't know what to do with. When he'd finally confessed what it was, I was more than a little surprised.

"A Bellas' reunion?"
"That's what it says, B." That's couldn't be right. I thought they hated me. After everything I'd done they should've anyway. I wanted to go but that damn woman would probably threaten the life of every Bella, ever. It was a complete reunion, everyone was expected to be there. Funnily enough it was back at the Bella house too. According to Emily, after we won Worlds it got a mega upgrade. I wanted to see what was probably my only positive legacy. Maybe I could even revisit the radio station. Seeing the girls once couldn't hurt, could it? It was only one weekend.
"Go ahead and accept the invitation. Could you also please start looking at accommodation? I'll be in soon."
"On it boss."

I couldn't stop plotting on the way over. If I was going to go to an event full off practically everyone I cared about the most I needed some kind of security. Since I'd been kidnapped before and had threats on my life I was forced to have at least one bodyguard, when lit of state two. Figuring there was no way out of it I cleared a bedroom for him, I had plenty of spares anyway, it's not like I had any friends. The service I used was great. They were all really nice. They also had set ups in pretty much every state of America, including Georgia. So when I helped book accommodation we hired a group of bodyguards for the event too. Figuring my assistant deserved a break I invited him along for a vacation. I could bring a plus one and show him where I started out. Barden was the reason I'd had a shot at a music career. It wasn't too late for him to go to college if he wanted to as well.
