Aubrey's POV

I knew I made a stupid decision to leave Beca alone and get help when I got lost and couldn't find the dressing room. I couldn't even get reception on my phone. She was alone, surrounded by vomit and had to handle two puppies, I had not thought my actions through. I just immediately thought, 'oh I should get help', wasn't exactly the best idea. I just tried to find some water for her which I did eventually but when I finally found my way back to her room, she was gone and the puppies were in their crate. There wasn't even any vomit on the floor, what happened? Had I imagined it?

My next move was to find the Bellas and get their help. I didn't care how they felt about Beca I'd seen the hopeless look in her eye and I knew what that meant. We could see another one of Emily's shows but we would only ever have 1 Beca Mitchell. I just hope Emily would forgive us but I was sure it wouldn't take too long to find her. As soon as I found her room empty I asked the staff if they'd seen her on my way out to the rest of the group. Surprisingly they said the last time was when she was with me but when I was walking away I remembered that I'd met her in her room. Oh well, it was probably just a mix up, I didn't really think that much about it.

It didn't take too long to find my friends in the crowd and they seemed to be enjoying the show, it was a shame I had to ruin it.
"Guys! Guys I need your help, she's gone and we need to find her."
"Aubrey, babe what? Where did you go? Who are you on about?"
"Stacie please you need to help me. She's gone and I don't know where she is." I was freaking out, I needed to find her. Chloe seemed shocked but I couldn't focus on her right now, we had to find Beca before she tried something again, now I finally knew her history.
"Aubrey, is she alright?" The broken red head looked me straight in the eye and I so wanted to tell her how Beca felt about her but it wasn't my place.
"She told me some stuff and then she threw up and almost passed out but now she's gone and I can't find her."
"Then let's go." It took very little persuasion to get the girls to follow me, Chloe more excited to see Beca than anything. Although everyone was with me, it did take us longer to find the dressing room because the signs weren't there anymore, something was really off and really wrong.

"She's not here," she screamed, "and she isn't coming back. She doesn't love you anymore."
"Amy how could you say that?" I knew those words would set the already broken redhead off and my girlfriend stood up as the new voice of reason.
"Do you see her anywhere? When was the last time she texted any of us? She broke up with Chloe for a reason."
"Amy leave." If Stacie hadn't of said it I would've. Amy was out of line.
"Sorry it's just the truth."
"Go, you're out of line."
"I don't understand how, she just threw up."
"Amy she might've taken something."
"Big deal."
"What the hell Amy? She might be dying or dead right now."
"And what makes you think that or think we can possibly find her?"
"You heard the song, same as us. We have to try. She helped us all at some point and now it's our turn to help her."
"She ditched us Stacie, not the other way around."

Amy's POV

She had been my best friend in college and for a while after college. When she asked me to promise her something my heart broke. One night in our room in the Bella house Beca confided in me because she was hopeless.

"Amy I need you to promise me something."
"What's up short-stack?" Her eyes told me this wasn't a joke and she was deadly serious. "What's wrong Beca?" She was arguing with herself over whether or not to tell me, I could tell. "You can tell me, it's okay." We sat on our respect beds across from each other. I was staring at her and she was staring at her hands. "Beca talk to me." She finally opened her mouth to speak but I kind of wished we never had to have this conversation. She lifted her head when she spoke to me, exposing the tears in her eyes and how puffy they'd become.
"Amy I've had a messed up life and it's gonna catch up with me at some point. I'm not asking for pity or sympathy I just need you to promise that if it catches up with me to keep everyone uninvolved, make them hate me."
"Beca no, I won't do it."
"Amy just listen to me. I don't want you guys involved, when I isolate myself and push everyone away it's because I need to be alone. If I say "I'm sorry I disturbed everyone" you need to distance yourself."
"Beca I'm your best friend why would I do that?"
"Because you'll have no other choice. If you don't do it, people will get hurt. Just keep them away, please. Just promise me." I really didn't want to but everything about her told me she was serious.
"How do I let you know I understand the message?"
"Promise me Ams?"
"Okay fine I promise. How do I let you know?"
"Just send me a mean message."
"Why me?"
"Because you know that sometimes you really have to get away or I assume you do with all your boyfriends."
"Oh uh yeah okay."
"Thank you Amy." With that she walked away. She didn't walk too far, just down the stairs with a bottle of vodka in her hand that for some reason she had stashed in our room.
