I'm not supposed to love you...

This is short but we're getting close to the last chapter so I have an excuse.

Lance frowned while looking out the window. While his relationship with Keith had bloomed into something beautiful, he couldn't help but feel off. Like something bad was going to happen.

That's when there was an explosion.

Lance grabbed Adina and looked for someone hurriedly.

He bumped into Keith who told him to get to an escape pod.

"The ship is under attack! We have to get you out!"

"No! I want to fight!" Lance pushed passed Keith and went towards the explosion to see-

Alteans?!

"Prince Lance!" One screamed. "Prepare to die!"

Lance ducked under their sword and moved away from the battle. All he could think was that the attack was Alteans.

"Lance," Keith said grabbing his arm, "Come on!"

Keith led Lance to an escape pod and was about to leave when Lance grabbed his arm.

"Don't you see? This is our chance to be free! To stay together for the rest of our lives, not being married off to someone else.

"This is our opportunity to be happy!"

"Keith," Lance said, "I love you more than anything in this universe. Will you run away with me?"

Lance smiled and Keith ran to the controls and steered them away from the ship.

The two flew for hours, past planets and through galaxies, until they arrived on the planet Arian, where they had had their first date.

The two landed in Keith's secret grove and took shelter with Adina in a cave with the ship inside.

"We're finally free, from everything! No more stress, we're together and safe!" Lance exclaimed.

"We should sleep for the night," Keith said, bringing out blankets from the ship. "The ship doesn't have heat, and the metal will be too cold to sleep on. We'll have to sleep out here."

"That's fine as long as I'm with you."
