Cameron and Mary were laying at their spot on the top of the hill way back behind Cam's backyard. The sky was more black than a dark blue color at that moment, no stars to be seen but they enjoyed staring at the blank sky anyway.

"We're going to have to best summer ever," Cameron says to his best friend, not looking away from the sky above them. "I promise you that."

"I want to remember this summer until I'm older." Mary comments, glancing to the side to get a peak of Cameron's relaxed body beside her.

"We'll always remember it."

"I have an idea." Mary says, nibbling on her bottom lip. She's been pondering on the idea for quite some time while they were out on the hill, but she didn't know if she wanted to tell Cameron. She knew Cam and she knew he would make fun of her for such a cliché and stupid idea. However, it sounded like an amazing idea to her and she couldn't go on any longer without saying anything about it.

"Go on," Cam gestures with his hands for her to keep talking.

"Well, we should make a jar," Mary says somewhat embarrassedly before adding, "a memory jar."

"A memory jar?"

"Yeah," she flushes. "You said it would be an unforgettable summer."

Cameron just looked at Mary, noticing how she had a smile on her face at her idea she thought of. He loved seeing that smile and he wanted it to stay there, so he agreed to make the memory jar just because it would make her happy.
