Two weeks later

The six of them ran down the street, guns in hand, surrounded by zombies. Their goal was to get shelter.

After a while of shooting and killing zombies, they continued on to their destination, only to be met by six other zombies.

Dave aimed at a zombie but Lucy held out her hand to stop him.

"Please, let me have these ones" he looked at her with a raised eyebrow and lowered his gun.

"Thanks" the zombies moaned, and ran towards her. With a smirk on her face, she aimed her gun at four of the zombies and shot her bullet right through their skulls.

The remaining two ran towards her, shrieking. She shot one in the head and it passed through and got the other one on its forehead.

"Nice" Brad whistled and commented.
She turned around and pointed her gun at Tyler.

"What are you do...?" Before he could finish, she pulled the trigger and the bullet swooshed past him, killing the zombie that was running towards him.

Tyler stared at her wide eyed and she smirked at him.

"Come on, sun's down and the hotel isn't far away" Dave said and walked past them.

After a few minutes of walking, they saw the hotel and walked inside, unsurprisingly open.

The power was out and everywhere was pitch black.

"I'm going to go crash somewhere" Brad announced and the sound of his footsteps retreated until there was a loud crashing sound, "my bad"

They were exhausted so they felt around for a place to sleep.

Lucy walked a little and felt her hand on a doorknob. She turned it and entered.

The moonlight seeped through the windows but it could barely illuminate anything. She felt around for the bed and touched something soft.

Realising it was a bed, she plopped on it and began to doze off. Not long after, she heard the door open and someone jumped on the side of the bed beside her.

She was too exhausted to find out who it was and they slept off.

Sunlight seeped through the windows and Lucy woke up only to find a hand loosely wrapped around her waist.

She turned her head to see Tyler next to her. He opened his eyes and their eyes met. In shock, they jerked away from each other and Lucy fell on the floor.

"What are you doing here?" she said, standing up, her face red.

"Shouldn't I be asking that question"

"No I came here first"

"How sure are you?" He smirked at her and she frowned.

"Urgh, there's no point arguing with you. Would you please get out"

"And what if I don't want to?" He said, cocking his eyebrow at her.

"Tyler, get out or I'll scream"

"Calm down, I'm going" he slid off her bed and walked out the door.

Only then did she realize she had the first full conversation with him.

She opened a door and walked into the bathroom. She looked into the mirror and couldn't believe it was her looking back.

Her blond hair was messed up and flying all over and her blue eyes looked dull.
