Lucy stood frozen, as the dozens of zombies thundered their shrieks.

She slowly moved back, her heart pounding loudly in her chest. Her mind was racing and her breath quickened.

Tyler stood wide eyed, in shock. The zombies were too much to handle.

They both moved back slowly, relieved but confused about the zombies not coming after them.

As Tyler moved back, he mistakenly kicked on empty can on the floor. Suddenly, the zombies seemed to snap out of their oblivion.

They quickly crawled out of their hiding places. Groaning and moaning, as they came out from behind and inside stalls.

The zombies ran towards them with lightning speed. The ground shook violently as they swiftly advanced the two of them.

Tyler and Lucy quickly turned around and ran away. They had a rush of adrenaline as they ran faster than they thought possible.

The zombies ran with disfigured bodies. Their clothes were ripped and stained with blood and dirt. They ran right into barriers and trampled on each other.

Fear clouded Lucy's and Tyler's expression as they ran for their life. They found themselves in front of the entrance and ran through, Ruby completely forgotten, only to more zombies surrounding the car.

The zombies immediately spotted them and shrieked in unison. They quickly turned and headed left, away from them.

They kicked up dust as they ran across the dirt road. The cold air pricked their skin, as the zombies rapidly followed them.

Ruby held her breath as the multitude of zombies ran past the photo booth she was in. She was determined not to die by the hands of zombies, eventhough she had almost given up on life.

She stood up and peered through the door to the booth, not letting go of her crucifix.

There was no zombie in sight. She breathed in deeply to calm her racing heart.

She waited a few minutes, just to be sure. She couldn't stay in the booth because she was defenceless. She had to get to the car as fast as she could, if she was to survive. She tried to reassure herself that Tyler and Lucy were safe too.

When she was confident enough, she slowly stepped out of the booth. The walked out slowly, trying not to make any noise.

She was cut short when she heard that familiar horrible sound. She turned back and saw a few of them some feet behind her.

Before she could process her situation, the zombies ran after her, their eyes full of hunger.

She hesitantly moved but tripped on a piece of broken wood. She scrambled to her feet and ran with all of her remaining energy.

She saw the entrance and increased her speed, only for a zombie to tackle her to the ground.

Without thinking, she punched its greying face. She kicked and wriggled her body, not caring about how she was going to escape but only that she had to escape.

She kept on hitting the zombie and managed to push it off her. With only a few seconds to spare, she rushed to the vehicle, the other zombies hot on her tail.

She got to it, hurriedly opened it and jumped inside it. Her hand found the lock button and she pressed it, just as the zombies surrounded the car.

They pounded the windows, displaying their brown and incomplete teeth to her.

She tried to steady her breath, hoping she was safe.

It felt like they had been running for hours. Their legs hurt but they had to keep on running.
