Carlac"I can't believe you talked me into this....if we s-survive this...I'll kill you myself..." The Rodian bounty hunter, Tennant, says as he shivers while he and his Selketh partner, Taku, trek through the snow.
"Don't worry Tennant, we're almost there. It'll be worth it." Taku says.
"It better be." Tennant says as he breaths into his cold hands and rubs them together, pulling his hood up again after it got blown down.
"Oh it will. Mandalorian armor isn't cheap. We'll be getting paid well for this." Taku tells his Rodian friend.
"No amount of credits can be worth this torture." Tennant complains.
"Just trust me man, it will be." Taku says.
"Are we almost there?" Tennant asks
"I think." Taku says trying to look through the blowing snow.
"You think? You mean you don't know!?" Tennant asks.
"I didn't say that..." Taku says.
"Yes you did!" Tennant yells.
"It's just hard to see through this blizzard." Taku says.
"Why didn't we just land the ship at the location?!" Tennant asks.
"We'd get blown out of the sky." Taku says.
Tennant groans.
"It's ok, once we get where we'll get what we came for, wait for the storm to pass, then have the droid come pick us up." Taku says.
"We'll freeze to death by the time the storm passes!" Tennant yells.
"No we won't. Just trust me." Taku says.
"Where are we even going?" Tennant asks.
"During the clone war when the republic set up a base here, there were still pockets of Death Watch defectors that tried to fight the republic troops but it didn't end well for them so they got wiped out. We're headed toward one of their larger camps that got wiped out and supposedly still has the Mandalorian armor and weapons they used just sitting around. Maybe even a few speeders." Taku says.
"Speeders? We could use them to transport it back to the ship faster." Tennant says.
"We could." Taku says.
The Rodian bounty hunter glances around and listens to several strange sounds echoing around them.
"I don't like this. Are you certain we're alone?" Tennant asks.
"There's not many things that inhabit this planet." Taku tells his partner.
"Are you sure about that?" Tennant asks as he listens to more distant sounds echoing.
"Not entirely..." Taku says and unholsters his DL-44.
Tennant grabs his EE-3 off of his back and looks around wearily. He heard a strange, animalistic sound getting closer and closer.
"You hear that?" Tennant asks.
"Yeah, I do." Taku says and looks around.
Tennant raises his blaster as he looks toward a hill. He watches as an animal comes running over the hill, grunting and screaming at them. It slows down right in front of Tennant who jumps back slightly, having not fired a shot.
"What the hell?" Taku asks.
Tennant looks at them. They were wearing saddles and harnesses.
"They're tame." Taku says as he places his hand on the creature's head in front of him.
