~Overview~
The story follows Nora Grey as she is introduced to the nefarious Patch. A string of strange happenings begin to follow Nora around. What else is she supposed to do when she has moments of her memory dissolve into nothing as if it never happened when she could have sworn she hit someone with her bestfriend's car? All Patch wants to be is human, but what are the lengths he is willing to go to to obtain such an impossibility?
Throughout the story it is a bit hard to follow and a struggle to keep motivation in wanting to find out what happens. My best friend and I have ranted about moments that could have been better and relationships that could have been more concrete. Nora mostly remains the same through it all which can be described at some points as naive and whiney. The only character that truly 'improves' would be Patch who in the end chooses good intentions over bad. Personally it was not for my tastes. If you're interested at getting angry and yelling at a book you have found your match. Although I do see an opportunity to strengthen both Patch and Vee's (her best friend) character in the books that follow.
