The following morning Alex woke up and found a note on the kitchen table, she read

Dear Danvers, I'm so sorry I had to leave you here but work called me in for something serious. If you don't feel like working today then don't go okay? It's alright sweetie. I made you some food it's in the fridge.  Love Maggie

Alex thought to herself that she was fine and could go to work. So she did.

————————————————————————
It was happening again, that wave was coming, she felt it creeping in on her quick she had to be alone. She quickly walked to the DEO halls and looked for any empty room with a lock and entered it. She began to cry but tried to hold back because she couldn't stop thinking about how she didn't deserve it.

She didn't deserve to cry others had it way worse so no, she tried not to allow herself to cry. She held back with all she could and just let out a few sobs and then took a deep breath and opened the door, but since she wasn't letting herself cry she started to get anxiety.

She collapsed in the middle of the hall.

She woke with an IV in her arm with Kara and Maggie by her side. "What happened?" Alex's voice cracked.

"You collapsed out of nowhere Alex, you scared us" Kara answered.

Beginning to cry, "I'm sorry I'm so sorry... I - I didn't mean to, I - I just got scared a - and"

"Alex, it's okay." Maggie said softly

"Why don't you go home and get some rest." Kara whispered.

———————Later that Night—————————
Maggie was awakened by the sound of Alex sniffling beside her, "Hey," Maggie whispered,
"Oh I'm sorry I" Alex started, "Hey shh it's okay come here" Maggie interrupted her.

Alex layed her head on Maggie's chest, Maggie played with her hair until she fell asleep, and then Maggie did the same falling asleep to the sound of Alex's steady breathing.
