Alex Danvers | Depression

Chapter one - A normal day

The sun shined through Alex's apartment curtains. Alex slowly opened her eyes as she woke. She rolled out of bed and hopped in the shower and then headed to the DEO.

Alex had sobbed the night before so her eyes were a bit puffy but not too noticeable. Alex walks in the DEO and accompanied by Winn's asking "Hey you alright?"

Alex stops and says "Yeah, why do I look different or something?" in a slight panicking voice.

"No it's just your eyes look a little puffy" Winn says.

Alex forces a laugh out and then says "Ohhh! I got some face wash in my eyes last night." They both laugh it out and continue on with they're things.

About an hour later almost the whole DEO was gathered up for a meeting on a case. Alex, Kara, Winn, James, and Maggie were all in the back. Maggie was there because they needed her expertise.

All of a sudden Alex felt a strong wave of sadness come over her, she didn't want to leave because this was important, so to cope with this she put her hands in a fist and dug her nails in her palm. She dug hard so hard blood started to drip down.

Maggie looked over at Alex seeing a slight change in her facial expression, "Danvers, you alright?" She whispered. Alex pretended she didn't hear her and when no one was looking, she slowly backed out of the crowd and headed to the locker rooms. She couldn't take it anymore. Once she got there she put her back against a wall and slid down.

She buried her face in her hands, and sobbed.
Maggie soon noticed her disappearance and went looking for her. She walked into the locker room to only find Alex sitting on the floor crying and holding back slight "screams".

Immediately she runs to her, "Woah, hey , hey it's okay, shhh , you're okay." Wrapping her arms around her. "Shhh... it's alright" she tries to calm her. They sit there for quite some time.
Once Alex's breathing steadies out a bit, Maggie asks "Sweetie what happened?"
Alex doesn't respond other than starting to sob again.

These usually go on for about an hour.

This was just another day for Alex. It got to the point where it was almost a normal thing now.
