Focuses mainly on chicago fire and the two new medics at firehouse 51. Chicago Med and PD will feature a lot. General storyline that include some of my own characters.
"I mean...who does he think he is! Ordering us around like that. I'm not going to stand for it!" Riley says, as her rant towards Riki Higgins continues. Riki Higgins is a paramedic from another house – who decided that he out ranked everyone at the last call and wanted to order everyone around, even though Chase and Riley had become the incident commanders as they were first on scene. Chase just sits and continues to scan through their equipment as the pair - well mostly him - restock the ambulance. Having had their day off cancelled due to a high-rise fire - Chase is left thinking about other ways that he could pop the question.
That's right - today's the day. Chase did have a nice day planned that ended in the couple going out for a nice romantic walk at navy pier where he would pop the question, but obviously that changed when they were called into work. Then the idea clicked. Considering they were on the apparatus floor...surrounded by everyone else who were also sorting out their equipment- he decided that now was just as good as any other time. Considering shift was nearly over, he decided to move now. With Riley still ranting he carefully pulled the box out of the zipped pocket and stepped out of the ambulance. "Riley..." He said, trying to gain her attention but she was too far gone into her rant. He glanced at Kelly who was watching Riley with a smile on his face obviously finding her state funny. Chase motioned to his hand so that Kelly got the idea, already knowing about Chases' proposal plans, and waited as Kelly and Sylvie started to record what was about to happen. "Dammit Riley, will you marry me?" Chase shouts, gaining not only Riley's attention but also everyone else from 51. Obviously, someone else is just as shocked as Riley as a halogen can be heard dropping to the floor. "W... what?" Riley asks, turning around with her hand over her mouth. At this point everyone else had gathered to watch. "Will. You. Marry. Me?" Chase asks again, only this time he's down on one knee, holding the ring and asking word by word. "Really?" Riley asks, making Chase laugh. "Would I ask if I didn't mean it?!" Chase asks, as Riley wipes away a tear. "Yes" She whispers. "Yes?" Chase asks again, having barely heard her answer. "Yes! A million times yes!" Riley says, moving to Chase to give him a huge hug and a kiss. Chase slips the ring onto Riley's finger. "Woah! It's perfect" She says admiring the ring. "Gabby thought you'd like it" Chase says...as everyone around them burst into applause. "It's about time!" Herrmann shouts, making everyone laugh. "Congratulations guys!" Gabby says, rushing over to hug the pair. "Thank you for helping him with the ring..." Riley says. "Yeah...I did have way better plans than this, but we got called into work so..." Chase says. "Are you kidding me? I'm sure I would have loved what you had planned...but now you got to do it surrounded by our family" Riley says, giving Chase another hug, as everyone ahhhs. "OMG...we're getting married!" Riley squeals, pulling Chase in for a hug and kiss.
An hour later and it's the end of shift. Hermann suggested that Riley and Chase had an engagement party type of evening at Molly's. Everyone agreed, so they decided to meet at 8pm, giving them plenty of time to go home and get ready. "Ready babe?" Chase says, walking into the locker room where Riley is sat, on her phone. "Yesssss..." Riley says, getting up and putting away her phone. "So, I just texted everyone from Intelligence and Med about coming to Molly's" Riley says, as they make their way out to the car. "Good. We have 2 hours until we have to be at Molly's" Chase says, as they get into the car, and start the short drive back to their apartment.
"Riley! Let's go!" Chase shouts, getting up from the sofa where he had been watching TV for 30 minutes as Riley got ready. It's now 7:45 and they have to leave otherwise they'll be late. "Just a sec!" Riley shouts, before a patter if deer could be heard speeding down the stairs. "I just need to put these on and pee then we can go" Riley says, making Chase laugh at how flustered she is. Riley slips into her heels before going to the toilet. A few minutes later the pair is in the car and on their way to Molly's.

When they arrive, Chase takes Riley hand in his before they walk inside. "Congratulations!!" Everyone shouts, making the couple jump before smiling and laughing. "Ahh! Thanks everyone!" Riley says, before her and Chase each get a drink before making their way around to everyone.
A few hours later, as it starts to get late, Riley decides to make a quick speech. Herrmann turns down the music and hands Riley a microphone as Riley makes her way to the mini stage area. "Erhh, Hi. I just wanted to thank everyone for coming. You guys know that you're our family and I'm so happy to have you all by our side as we embark on this new journey. I love you all thanks you and well, LETS PARTY!!!" Riley says, as she smiles at Chase before the music goes back on. Chase takes her hand and drags her onto the dance floor area where everyone is dancing. She dances alongside Chase and the Haltstead brothers...let's just say those 3 really can't dance, but it's funny to watch.
As Molly's was closed for their 'private' event, Herrmann extended Molly's closing hour and kept it open until just gone 1am. Considering that Chase and Riley weren't back on shift until 7 am the next day, they felt sorry for the Intelligence unit as they had to be in for work at 9. "Right...come on misses, let's get you home" Chase says, and he slips his arm around Riley's waist to support her as – let's say how she put it - 'Just A Little Bit Tipsy'. "BYE!!" Riley shouts to the little who remain in the bar. Chase helps her put her cardigan on before he leads her out to the car. Unlike Riley, Chase only had a few alcoholic drinks mixing that alongside soft drinks so he's safe to drive. After helping Riley get in the car and sort her seatbelt up, Chase walks around to the drivers' seat and gets he. He starts the car up and starts to drive them back to their apartment.
10 minutes later – due to their being hardly any cars on the road – the pair arrive home. Chase helps Riley out of the car and leads her into the apartment. "Come on sit down" He says, sitting Riley down so that her can remove her heels. He removes her shoes and cardigan alongside his shoes and jacket before locking up and leading Riley to bed. "Hey Chase...guess what?" Riley asks, giggling a bit as Chase tries to find her PJ's. "What?" He asks, as he turns to smile at her. "Some wacko proposed to me today..." She says, holding her hand and showing off the ring. Chase walks towards her and puts his hands on her shoulders. "Really...well, I guess we have to celebrate then." Chase responds, kissing her and slowly pushing her back on the bed. The both smile at each other before kissing again. Well – I guess you know what happened next 😊.
