Focuses mainly on chicago fire and the two new medics at firehouse 51. Chicago Med and PD will feature a lot. General storyline that include some of my own characters.
"Your coffee" Mouse said, handing Taylor her coffee before he climbed back into the driver's seat. "Thanks" Taylor said taking a sip from it. "Do we really have to go to work?" Taylor faked sulked. "Yes...come on – hopefully it's a quiet day" Mouse said, starting the car and driving to the district. When they arrived they climbed out of the car and walked in the district hand in hand. "Morning Sarge" Mouse and Taylor both said to Platt on the front desk. "Taylor...someone called by for you earlier" Platt said, considering Mouse and Taylor didn't have to be in work until 10 unless they got a case. "Who?" Taylor asked, moving towards the desk. "Didn't say...just said they'd come back later" Platt said, turning her attention back the paperwork she was working on. Taylor and Mouse walked upstairs to the bull-pen where nearly everyone was already in and sat at their desks working. "Morning" Taylor chirped, as she sat down at her desk next to Mouse. "Hey" Jay said, looking at his friends – he already looked exhausted. Taylor and Mouse both got on with their work as they each get assigned smaller tasks to work on for other units etc, when they aren't working a case. A few hours had gone by and the unit had still not been given a new case. Slowly everyone was finishing the stack of paperwork that they had so Voight said they can go whenever they wanted, but to be on standby in case they got a case. By 1pm, it was only Mouse, Taylor, Voight and Antonio in the bull-pen. "Taylor, there's someone downstairs for you – Platt said it was the person from earlier" Officer Diaz said walking up the stairs. "Okay, thanks – I'll be down in a minute" Taylor said. She finished what she was doing before walking downstairs. Platt saw her and pointed outside. Taylor smiled and nodded before walking outside. "Lenny?" She asked shocked once she saw who was standing outside, leaning against his car. "Hey sis" He smiled. Taylor ran over and jumped into the arms of her older brother. "What are you doing here?!" Taylor asked happily. "What can't a guy come see his younger brother?" He asked, and Taylor knew that there was more to the story. Taylor gave him 'the look'. Lenny sighed. "Fine, okay. I need somewhere to stay" Lenny said. "What happened with Linda?" Taylor asked referring to his girlfriend that he loved with in LA. "She left, got a new job in New York. Said she couldn't do this anymore and broke things off with me" Lenny said with a slight frown. "That sucks...I'll have to speak Mouse, but I'm sure he'll be cool with you staying with us. Our friends – old roommates just moved into their own place so we've got a spare room" Taylor said. "Mouse?" Lenny quired. "Greg...remember the guy I told you about" "Oh – so you two are serious then?" Lenny asked. "Yeah...he makes me happy" Taylor said blushing slightly. "Good...can't wait to meet him" "Well, come on up. We're heading out in a bit anyway. Not currently working a case so we get the rest of the day off" Taylor said, grabbing her brother's arm and dragging him into the building. "Oh- Platt, this is my brother Lenny. Lenny this is Sargent Platt" Taylor said introducing them properly. "Nice to meet you" Lenny said shaking her hand. Lenny then followed Taylor up to the bull-pen. "That's sick" Lenny said excitedly when he saw how Taylor had to buzz in using a palms scanner and code. Taylor laughed and lead the way upstairs. "Guys...this is my brother Lenny. Lenny, this is Antonio and Mouse" Taylor said introducing him to them as they were the only other ones accept Voight. "Hey" Antonio said giving him a smile. "So you're Mouse" Lenny said holding his hand out. Mouse shook it. "The one and only" "Well, I hope you're taking good care of my baby sister" Lenny said slinging his arm over her shoulders. Taylor pushed him off and laughed. "He is..." Taylor said, moving closer to Mouse. "Can we speak in private?" Taylor whispered to Mouse. He nodded his head towards the breakroom. "Antonio keep an eye on him" Taylor said making Antonio laugh as he knew what it was like to have a younger sibling. "What's up?" Mouse asked once they were in the privacy of the break room. "So you know how Erin and Jay have moved out..." Taylor started. "Yeah..." "And how we've got a spare room" "You want Lenny to stay with us?" Mouse asked, obviously relieving Taylor from the duty as she sighed with relief. "If it's okay...I mean I don't know how long it will be for, but his girlfriend he was living with in LA broke things off and took a job in New York, so I think being around family would be helpful" Taylor said. "Sure" "Really?" Taylor asked. "Yeah. He's family...he stays" Mouse said, making Taylor walk over and kiss him. "Thank you..." She said between kisses. "I'm done for the day what about you?" Taylor asked Mouse. "I still have some stuff to do" He responded. "Well, I'll go get my brother settled in as he hired a rental car – maybe later we can all go out for dinner" Taylor said grabbing her coat. "Okay. I love you" Mouse said, giving Taylor a kiss. "Love you too – see you in a bit" she said, walking out to her brother. "Come on then you" She said, grabbing her bag. "We're going to get you settled in – give me your keys" Taylor said.
Taylor drove her brother back to her apartment and walked him inside. She showed him around. "...and this is your room" She said, opening the door to the spare room and Erin and Jay once inhabited. "Ermm, towels are in the cupboard in the bathroom." Taylor said, knowing that her brother would want to freshen up after his long travel. "I'll leave you to settle in. Freshen up we're going out for dinner when Mouse gets home" Taylor said, before leaving her brother to himself. Taylor went and changed her clothes before sitting down on the sofa and watching TV, waiting for Mouse to come home. "Hey" Mouse shouted, once he had walked into the apartment. "Hiya – Taylor's just gotten out of the shower" Lenny said, from his place on the sofa. "Okay, thanks" Mouse said, putting his jacket and keys down before heading off to their bedroom. "Hey, you" Mouse said, wrapping his arms around Taylors waist as she brushed her hair. "Hiya" Taylor responded, turning around to give him a kiss. "You almost ready?" He asked, as he was hungry. "Yeah...I just need to chuck on some clothes and I'll be ready to go" Taylor said, walking over to the wardrobe. "Okay. I'll wait with Lenny" Mouse said, leaving her to get ready in peace. "She'll be out in a minute" Mouse said, joining Lenny on the sofa. "Okay" Lenny said, reaching for the remote. "Look...I can see how happy you two are together and that's enough for me. All I'm going to say is you hurt her...there'll be trouble" Lenny said seriously. "Trust me man...I don't plan on hurting her. She's the best thing that had ever happened to me" Mouse said smiling as they heard Taylor leave the bedroom. "Ready to go?" She asked, before noticing that something had just happened. Then it clicked. "What did you say?" She asked, lightly hitting Lenny's arm. He moved away. "Nothing...I just warned him if he hurts you I hurt him" Lenny said honestly. Taylor put on a serious face and looked to Mouse. Mouse nodded, agreeing with what Lenny had said. "Oh- okay" Taylor laughed, knowing that Lenny would do it at some point. "Right...let's go. I'm hungry" Lenny said, holding his stomach as it rumbled. Taylor and Mouse laughed before leading the way out to Taylor's car. The three enjoyed the rest of their evening. Taylor was happy to be with her brother again and vice versa for Lenny. Mouse was happy to sit back and watch the siblings laugh and mess about as he loved seeing Taylor happy, especially after everything she had gone through recently.
