23. Starting a New Life

Two days later...
Eily Pov

I woke up, did my hygiene, and got some clothes to put on. Anthony did the same.

I was done, got my supplies, but there was one more thing. I did notttttttt feel like riding the bus. I cannot, I will not 😭.

I walked to my dad's room and seen him sleeping. I shook him softly, he woke up, and looked at me crazy.

Me: Umm, Hey Dad, can you give me and Anthony a ride to school? 😊
Dad: ......
Me: Dad?
Dad: Ohh hell naww. Y'all better walk. Da hell..
Me: What if someone kidnaps us ?
Dad: Ohh well , call 911, you should look out more bitch..
Me: Excuse me, you don't call your daughter a bitch...
Dad: Hold up, but why did you just curse though??!
Me: I didn't even do anything 🙄
He got up and pulled my shirt to him.

Me: STOP, WHAT ARE YOU DOING, TRYING TO KILL ME OR SOMETHING??!
Anthony rushed in and seen Dad almost trying to choke me. He took a thick binder out of his bookbag and threw it at my dad's head. My dad fell to the ground. I think he had passed out 😂.

Me: Anthony , I ain't know yo binder that thick. You keep everything in there , dang ?? 😂 You got bout 30 pencils, 3 packs of paper, some markers, Anthony you got the whole school in there😭😭.  But thanks, you saved me there 😚
Anthony: You welcome. You know I always gotta be prepared for anything. Gotta protect my big sis.

Anthony walked to Dad and nudged him.

Anthony: Did I kill him?? Ohhhh noooo, I don't wanna go to jail. Eily—
Me: Boy hush, he just unconscious for a bit, I'm sure he won't remember nothing.
Anthony: Phew, thankk youu
Me: Well hurry up and get your stuff together. We gotta see if a bus coming this way. I don't feel like walking, so we gonna ride the bus sadly.
Anthony: Okk

Me and Anthony got our things and stood outside the house. A few minutes later we seen a bus pull up, it stopped, and we walked to it. 

Me: Sir, Does this bus drive high schoolers or middle schoolers?
Driver: We do both , so both of you can get on.
Me : Alright, thanks ☺️

Me and Anthony got on the bus and were looking for seat, then he whispered to me

Anthony: Eily, sit by me, I'm scared
Me: Boy...
Anthony: Pleeeeeeeeaaaaaassssssseee
Me: Fine

We sat down in and empty seat. They dropped off the middle schoolers first, then we got dropped off.
When I got off the bus, I entered the school and was immediately lost asf. This is like being a freshman all over again 😭😂. 

I walked found the office walked to a lady behind the desk.

??: Hi my name is Ms. Adams. Are you a new student?
Me: Yes ma'am.
Ms. Adams: Ok, what's your name?
Me: Eily Imolehin.
Ms. Adams: Ok, here is your schedule. Your 1st period is English, 2nd Anatomy , 3rd P.E., 4th Trigonometry, 5th cooking, and the last period, you have advisory, or a free period.

My goodness this is a busy schedule.

Me: Alright, thanks!

I walked off with the schedule in my hand. And went into the hallway. Everyone was walking looking like they knew where everything in this school was. Then there's the lost one, me 💀

Me: Where the hell is this Trigonometry class...*mumbling to myself*
??: Need some help?

I turned around and seen this light skinned dude looking at me. I'm gonna be honest with y'all, he's fine in my opinion.  But I don't wanna feel this way.

Like, y'all know when y'all in a relationship with a dude, but you know it's finer dudes out there? Then you say he fine in ya head, but you can't express it because you in a wholeee relationship😂. That's how I feel right now lol.

But like me and Jaden aren't in a relationship , but we in a relationship at the same time....
Lemme hush with my confusing thoughts 💀.

Me: Sure, I just need to know where all my classes are.
??:  Cool 🙂. So what's yo name shawty.
Me: Eily Imolehin 😚
??: Beautiful name you got there. My name is Danny
Me: Alright cool, but is you gonna show me where to go or something, cuz I'm not tryna be late on my first day here.
Danny: Oohhh yeahh, I forgot all about that. I'll show you the way of course. I just got sidetracked with your fineness😌
Me: Ooooookk then 💀, Anywaysss, where's my class?
Danny: Here, I'll walk you to your class.
Me: Ok ☺️

We walked through the hallway and half the time it was quiet. Danny broke the silence.

Danny: Shawty come on noww. You too fine not to be talking.  Open up a lil.
Me: I'm sorry. Hi how are you. How's your day going so far? 🙂
Danny: Really Eily... 💀
Me: What, you told me to talk, and I did 😂.

We walked up to the class I was about to go in.

Danny: Alright now, Have fun taking trigonometry. I heard it's pretty hard
Eily: Thanks, I'll try.

He walked off to the end of the hallway, then turned around.

Danny: AYE, LEMME GET THEM DIGITS LATER!
Me: NAH, I'M GOOD 😂
Random Teacher by me: Hey young lady, stop yelling in the hallway 😠
Me: Sorry, damn *mumbled*

I walked into class and seen a dude familiar. Is that my boy best friend?

Me: Davon???

He looked up at me

Davon: Eily? Like best friend Eily ?
Me: Yessss 😂😂
Davon: OH MY GOSH BESTFRIENDD YOU'RE BACKK. I MISSED YOU EVER SINCE YOU MOVED TO LA, YOU JUST LEFT ME, ALL LONELY, AND NOW YOUR BACKKK 😭😭😂*hugging me tightly, then let goes of me*
Me: I missed you tooooo 😭
Davon: Hurry up and sit by me before the teacher says anything.

I sat beside him, then the teacher came in. I think her name was Mrs.Walker.

Mrs. Walker: ASSIGNED SEATS!
Davon: Why we getting assigned seats?? The first week of school we ain't have none..

Mrs. Walker looked at Davon and responded.

Mrs.Walker: ASSIGNED SEATS!!!!
Davon: Okay lady damn, stop yelling assigned seats. It's too early in the morning to be screaming.

The class laughed quietly.

Mrs.Walker: HUSH. I'm gonna put all of you in alphabetical order. This is where you will sit for the rest of the school year.

She called out names and we sat in our seats. Davon was all the way on the other side of the classroom. This class finna be boring as hell.

Mrs. Walker: ALRIGHT GUYS, GET OUT SOME PAPER AND WE WILL BE TAKING A LOT OF NOTES ON SHAKESPEARE!!
The Whole Class: Ughhhhhhhhhh 😩😫
