31. Finding out More

Eily's Pov

I came into first block, and didn't see Jaden, thankfully.

River: Have you seen Jaden around?
Me: Why you wanna know?
River: Because I can hoe.
Me: Excuse me??

I got out my seat, but Lexus pulled me back.

Lexus: It's not worth it bestfriend.

I sat back down angrily. That just ruined my morning.

Later that Day

It was finally time to go, I went to my locker, and guess who started walking towards me.
Malu💀

Malu: Look what you didd

She showed me a picture of Jaden in a hospital bed looking lifeless.

Me: What did you do to him??
Malu: I didn't do anything 😊
Me: WHAT DID YOU DO???
Malu: It's simple, you did it.
Me: What??
Malu: You made him depressed. You didn't accept his apology yesterday. You didn't check on him or anything. You made him attempt suicide, all because of a nice kiss he gave me 🙂 You should be ashamed of yourself.

I wanted to start crying.

Malu: Oh no, don't start crying. You wasn't doing this yesterday were you? You're fake, and you know it.

I ran off and went out the school. I found Lexus's mom's car and got into it.

Me: Please go to the hospital.
Ms.Toni: Why?
Me: Jaden's there.
Ms. Toni: alright, i'll go as fast as I can.

We rushed to the hospital and I went in by myself because Ms.Toni had to pick up Lexus from practice.

Me: Excuse me nurse, what room is Jaden Delarosa in ?
Nurse: 385
Me: Thanks

I rushed to his room, knocked on the door, and opened it. I seen him lying helplessly on the bed as his heart rate was going slower and slower.
I ran to him and went to the side of the bed and held his hand.

Jaden's Pov

I felt like I was really dying slowly, but I felt someone's hand on my hand. It felt familiar. I felt drops of tears falling on my arm and hand. I couldn't open my eyes and see who it was.

??: Jaden, Please don't die.

Her voice was very shaky.

??: I probably really did cause you to do all this, I'm sorry. I should've did something..

Eily ??

Eily: It's my fault isn't it 😢

No it isn't.

Eily: Of course it's my fault, I should've answered your calls. I should've did something.

I heard my heart rate thing get slower with beep noises.

Eily: No don't die, It's my fault 😭

The beeps stopped.

Eily: NOOO, NURSE?? HELP 😭😭

There was a beeping sound that started again, then another, then they kept coming.

Eily: I'm Sorry.

I finally cracked my eyes open a bit. I pushed out a few words. My voice was kinda deep because I ain't talk in a while and I had just woke up.
I lifted my other hand towards her face and started wiping het tears. She looked at me in shock.

Me: Don't......cry..please. I ..did..it.

She leaned down and gave me a big hug.

Eily: Oh my gosh, you are ok 😭😭
Me: Yeah...I'm fine I guess.
Eily: I'm sorry, this is all my fault-
Me: Eily ....stop..apologizing. You.. shouldn't have to do this. I cheated. I'm sorry. I was just mentally and emotionally unstable. And besides, I shouldn't be here right now. I should be dead, which is better. All the pain could've ended.
Eily: No please don't say that. You are meant on this Earth. If your heart rate stopped then came back, God is trying to give you a message that you are meant here.
Me: Maybe-Maybe you're right.

A nurse came in all of a sudden.

Nurse: Hey guys! I see Jaden's up! You will be released in three more days at 12:00pm, I will inform your mom so that she could pick you up from work.
Me: Alright, thanks.
Nurse: And missy, you have about 3 minutes until visiting time is done. We have to run some procedures on him.
Eily: Alright.

The nurse walked out and I looked at Eily.

Me: Eily, go home ok.
Eily: You sure?
Me: Just come to my house after school on Friday . I'll be at home and I could really talk to you.
Eily: Ok, I'll text you everyday to make sure you are ok.
Me: Don't worry about me, I'm -
Eily: No, I'm worried about you. You tried to commit suicide Jaden. That's something to worry about.
Me: But-.....I don't even have nothing to say, but thanks.
Eily: You're welcome😊, I gotta go
Me: Ok, seeya Friday.

She walked out the room.

I need to get up out this hospital.
