The Surprise(14)

Darry and Morgan

"Can you please tell me where we going?Why is it takin so long Darryl?"Morgan whined like a little kid.

"Just wait a minute.I took the long way to get there so you wouldn't know."Darry explained.

"Fine,I'll wait."Morgan said with a sigh.

Soon enough they were at this large restaraunt that had said grand opening.It was as tall as Godzilla maybe with a little exaggeration. Morgan stood flabbergasted in the parking lot holding Darry's hand.

"Darry, you didnt-"Morgan started but Darry cut her off.

"I wanted too.There's been a lot of jobs at work and I took'em so I can take you here.You like it?"

"Darry,do I like it?I love it!Can we go?"Morgan practically yelled.

"Of course,let's go"Darry said smiling.

Darry was so happy Morgan was happy to be there.He took her hand and they walked in to a fancy diner almost like the titanic.It had chandeliers and marble walls.There was even a fountain next to the cashier's desk.

"Table for two?"a French lady asked them.

"Ah yes.I love your accent"Darry said.

Morgans cheek burned red a little hearing Darry compliment her but shook it off.After all,it was a special night and not the place to make a scene.

They both ordered spaghetti and talked about good colleges ,which turned into Soda's school career.

Morgans POV

"Soda is so smart.I don't understand."I choked out.

"Well neither do I,Pony doesn't use his head but did better then Soda when they both went to school.I wish he didn't drop out.I'm glad he got a job though.It really helps out a lot.You know,the bills and all."Darry told me,his words gentle and caring.

He was always gentle and caring like that but he was always all to serious.Thinking about that something snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Darry...pssst Darry!"I whispered.

"Now why in heck are you whispering?"He asked me.

"Shhh,drop your napkin and glance over your shoulder.Tell me if you see something suspicious."

"Ok,I will."he agreed to the plan.

As he glanced over I put my head in my arms hoping the person I saw wouldn't see me.

"Dang,is that Maribel?How she could do such a thing I don't know.Check?!"Darry yelled.

"Ok let's go.We need to tell Soda."I pleaded to him.

"Okay I will tell him he is my kid brother."Darry said before we got in his truck and went to his house.

Sodas POV

"Hey brother.Morgan.How was your date??"I asked them sounded childish.

They just walked through the door and they looked upset.

"Did something happen?I'm sorry for asking.I didn't know."I said trying to cheer them up.

After a good 20 seconds Darry finally said something.

"We had a great time at the restaraunt actually.That's not why we are upset."

"Oh then why're you sad?Will ya tell me?"I said with confusion.

"Soda,you need to sit down for this part,"I sat down,"Uh..Maribel.She uh,Morgan,you wanna tell him?"

"god damn Darry someone tell me what the heck is going on!"I shouted.

"Darry,you tell him,he's your kid brother."

"Ok,Morgan and I saw Maribel with,"Darry stopped talking,"with another guy.He uh,said that he has been with Maribel for a week now.That's why they were at the restaurant.They were celebrating there 1 week anniversary.I'm sorry kid."

I stormed out of the room.I kicked my bedroom door open and slammed it shut with me in the room.I was furious.I grabbed my phone and threw it at the wall.I was so angry.I couldn't take it,I had lost it.Darryl then walked in and said to lay down for awhile.I obeyed his idea and took a nap.When I woke up,I was cooled of enough to have a serious talk with Maribel.

Darrys POV

After breaking the news to Soda about Maribel he took a nap and then woke up storming out of the house.

He told me he was going to her house so I told him not to break anything.The next time I saw him was him talking to Ponyboy.I went in and said goodnight.Then I walked in my room and went to sleep.
