Dally's POV

“Hey Darrel?I asked into the phones speaker.

“No Steve"the other person replied.

“Steve?"

“yeah"he says before I continue.

“Put Darry on the phone"I told him.

I was at a telephone booth thing waiting for Darry to come to the phone.I then heard a hello.

“I found them.I found Pony and Johnny!"I shrieked into the talking device.

“Thats great Dal!"

After he said that he yelled it threw the house.I heard cheering from the gang after he said the great news.He went back to talking on the phone with me.

“Hey can I uh talk to Pony?"he said slowly and nervous.

“Sure,"I said into the phone,“Pony come here!"I yelled holding the receiver so I wouldn't break Darry's eardrum.

“Ya?"he asked.

“Your big brother wants to talk to you."

Ponyboy's POV

“Hello?"I said into the phone.

“Pony!I thought I lost you like we did mom and dad!I'm sorry I hit you.I was so mad,jeez I've never been so mad.You gotta understand that you coming home at 2 am in the morning was awful.I thought you were dead.I can't even call the cops too!That shows how much I love you and I don't know why you think I don't."

“I-I...I understand alright.I'll use my head more.Are you crying Darry?"I said crying myself.

“Yeah I sure am.You are too.Come home soon little buddy. Come quick.We all miss ya."

“Alright I'll come home.Haha I miss y'all too."I said before hanging up.

“Come on Dal,we gotta get home before Darry cries a river."I yelled getting in the car.

“Fine let's go Johnny"he sighed.

That car ride felt longer then the days I spent in the church.

   When we got to my house I ran in  faster then I ran out that night.

“Darry!?"I yelled through the house.

“Ponyboy!"he came racing out of the bathroom while Soda came running after him from the kitchen.

We had a Curtis hug while Johnny stood there.

“Shoot"was all Johnny could say as he ran up and joined the group hug.

A knock on the door made our hug end and Darry opened it.

It was a cop.I stopped dead in my tracks and my smile faded.

“Do you know who Johnny Cade is?"the large man with shaggy hair asked.He was tall,slim and had big muscles but not as big as Darry.His hair was so shaggy it almost covered his eyes and you couldn't see his eyebrows.That made him look funny.

“Um maybe.Why,do you need him?"

“While the rest of the police force are looking in Texas,that's what Dallas Winston told us,one of your friends,a couple other officers are checking here.He needs to attend a court meeting and so does Ponyboy Curtis, your younger brother?"

“Yes.I'll inform the both of them as soon as I see them.Thank you sir."

The officer said thank you also and Darry shut the door.

“Looks like you boys will be busy on March 26,of 1983."he said looking at me and Johnny.

“Why don't we invite the girls over and get some pizza."

“Alright!Darry!Thanks Darry!"I yelled and gave him a hug.

A little less then 30 minutes the ladies were all with us and the rest of the gang as well.We all ate pizza as we watched mickey mouse,especially Two-bit and Ali.Some of us weren't watching Mickey.Soda was in our room with Kelsey(yes he decided to start talking to her),and Steve and Kaila were arm wrestling in the kitchen.Morgan was passed out cold on Darry's lap and me and Tori were on the couch.Dally,Emily,Johnny and Carole were talking amongst themselves.

It was nice to be home.Thank god it was only 3/10.I had 16 days to live a normal life until I had to attend court.
