I'm going nowhere

"Megan don't worry it's not going to be the same officer as ysterday" Matt was reasuring me about the questioning, I didn't want to go but due to yesterday I honestly think I am well within my rights to not want to do it

"I know I know" I slowly walked into the meeting room and once again both my parents and Mike were sat down

This time the officer was a young man, he looked nice but nothing like Matt.

He held his hands clasped infront of him, there was a gold band round his ring finger, married, well whoever they are they are very lucky

He got up to shake my hand

"Hello Megan, I am DI Jameson"

"Hello" there was something about him that made me feel calm and comfertable

"Please may I see the message that Maddie sent you" I handed over my phone and he read it slowly and carefully

"I see it says she wants to find out what happened between her parents"

"Yeah, her parents broke up about 6 months after that picture was taken, no one actully knows what happened even her"

"How did she find out they were seperating"

"She woke up one night and they were downstairs screaming at eachother so she went down to see what was going on, her mum screamed at her dad to get out and never come back. She has never forgiven her mum for it"

He seemed to be thinking about what I said for a while like he almost didn't believe me

"Okay, thank you your time Megan, I will be back soon, if you have anymore infomation then dont hesitate to call" he handed me a card with a number to call

"Thank you" I stood up and shook his hand, so did my parents and Mike

I left the room after everyone said goodbye to mum and dad, no one was coming to visting tonight I don't think so I would be sat in my room with my music

I looked around for Matt but I couldn't see him, I wasn't really in the mood to be socially interacting

Thats the thing you can push something so far to the back of your mind that when you have to discuss it, the reality and thought of it hits you like a train? Just me okay

That is when I realised that Matt would be in the on site collage, I really had no choice but to sit alone in my room for the rest of the eveing till dinner

You know how this goes, I put my headphones in and sit there, read maybe fall asleep, so I should just skip this part? well your wrong something happened...

I had been sat with my headphones in looking out the window for for about an hour, my music stopped and at first I thought my phone had died but when I felt it buzzing in my lap, I looked down at the caller ID expecting it to my home phone or Liam but it, it was Mads

I hesitated before picking up

"Hello Mads"

"Hi Megan"

"Where are you, please tell me your at your uncles"

"Yeah I'm fine but how are you, I know things won't have been easy for you in the unit"

"Yeah no I'm fine" Maddie always could tell when I was lying to her face...

"Megan come on it's 33 degrees, you don't need to wear a long sleeved top to go swimming in" it was bad enough having to wear long sleeves around my family and trying to hide my blades, they never pay any attention to me so they won't fucking notice, but Maddie notices EVERYTHING
