Jack

After school was over that day, Mark and I took off to my house. "Hey ma! I'm home! Mark's here too!" I yelled. "And I thought your singing was loud." Mark said laughing. "Oh, you shush." I turned and leaned close to his hear. "You haven't heard anything." I said quietly. He froze up and his face turned red. "Hi Jack! Nice to meet you....Mark are you okay." I kept my sniggers quiet as he tried to compose himself. "Y-Yeah, I'm fine. It's nice to meet you Mrs.McLouglin." Mark said politely. My mom turned to me. "Keep him." I grabbed Marks arm and ushered him to my room. "I'll be right back." I said shutting the door and looking at my mom. "I'm gonna show him. There was a fight between one of the singers and one of the dancers today. I got a bloody nose and while Mark and I were talking about the fight in the bathroom he gave me an idea. I'll explain more later mom. I love you." I said quickly. "Oh...Um...Okay. Have fun?" She was confused. I took off back to my room and found Mark sitting on my bed looking around. "Okay. So, um...This is probably the most crazy thing I've ever done." I said. Mark looked scared. "You're not gonna hurt me, are you?" He asked. "No. Of course not. This is more of a secret that I wasn't planning on telling you until later. But for this idea to work I need to tell you now." I said. "Okay, what is it?" He asked.

I grabbed my phone and hooked it up to my speakers. I scrolled through the songs until I found the one I wanted to use. I took a deep breath and turned to Mark, who was about as confused as I was scared. "Mark. Promise me that you won't like, freak out, or leave. Please?" I said. "Jack, I'm not gonna leave you. No matter what." He said walking over and kissing me. "Okay, take a seat. This is only part of my big secret." I said hitting play on the song.

I started dancing to the song and prayed that mark wouldn't leave after he saw.

When the song ended I looked from the floor to Mark. He sat there, mouth agape, eyes wide. "Mark, are you okay?" I asked. He stood up. I got scared. Tears filled my eyes. He was gonna leave. No. Please don't let him leave. No no no no n- My thoughts were cut short by a pair of strong arms wrapping around me. "Jack. That was beautiful. I-I...I thought I was the only one." He said. "W-What do you mean?" I asked. He looked over at my phone. "May I?" I nodded. He walked over and picked up the device, looking through the music. A song started playing and I expected Mark to start dancing, but instead.

He was singing.

It was the most beautiful sound I'd ever heard. I joined him singing and soon we were dancing together. At the end of the song we were both out of breath and holding each other close. "Mark. I have the craziest idea ever." I said. He gave a small laugh. "I'm all for it Jackaboy." He said kissing me. I wrapped my arms around him and deepened the kiss.

"Okay good. I have a song already picked out." I said. (Play song at the top) After I was done showing him he smiled at me. "I think I can learn that. Seems easy enough." He said. "Okay, do you wanna stay the night tonight?" I asked. "Yeah, I'll ask my mom and then we can run and grab some clothes." He said. I nodded and we sat down on my bed. "Are there any other secrets I should know about you?" He asked with a smile. "Just a few small ones... A few big ones too, but those can wait until later." I said looking down at the bed.

Recalling all of those memories right now would be the worst idea on the planet. Just thinking about it made me tear up. "Hey, whatever it is, I promise that I'll be here for you and with you, no matter what." Mark said pulling me into a hug. I sniffed and leaned against him. "Thanks Mark. I really appreciate it. I'll tell you when the time is right." I said looking up at him. He gave me a soft smile and a nod. "Take your time Jack. I'm not going anywhere." He said. He leaned down and pressed his lips to mine, pulling me closer too. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he put his around my waist. We fell back on my bed, him over me, kissing. God. He was a good kisser.
