Oh my head... I roll over and feel around on my nightstand for my phone. Groaning, I flop over onto my back pressing my knuckles into my eyes. My eyes snap open as I feel her foot against my leg, Oh shit. I totally forgot I told Lacie I would sleep somewhere else. I'll never hear the end of it. She groans, I pause waiting for her to wake up but she doesn't. Slowly I pull the covers back trying to start easing myself out of the bed. She stirs again but doesn't wake. And just as my feet touch the floor the door swings open. Fuck.

Jason leans against the door frame with that shit-eating grin plastered on his asshole face, taking a bite of a granola bar. I shake my head and mouth "I'll slit your throat" dragging my finger across my neck. He chuckles before he backs out the door making room for me to exit. I blow out a breath as I lean my head back against the wall. "Dude, don't start. It's too early. I don't need your mouth."

"Is that what you told her last night? I'm surprised she stayed bro." He brushes the crumbs off his shirt and winks at me.

"You're such a dick. We didn't do anything. She was wasted when I brought her up here. She puked before I could get her to her room so I let her stay in my bed. I forgot all about it until I climbed in bed with her. I was fucked up and didn't feel like sleeping somewhere else."

He holds his hands up, "If you say so. You know you totally could've though, right? She really has the hots for you and everyone here knows it."

A grin creeps across my face, "Hey, the weekend is young my friend. We still hitting up the pool party later?"

"You know it. Babes in bikinis, wouldn't miss it." He high fives me. "You gonna let Sleeping Beauty stay or kick her out?"

"Ah, let her stay. I think I'm gonna shower before I do anything else."

Feeling much better after a nice hot shower, I make my way back to my room. I listen at the door but I don't hear anything so I push it open quietly. She's still passed out, sprawled across my bed, snoring softly. Trying to be as quiet as I can be, I open my dresser in search of something to wear. I pull out a pair of jeans and a black V-neck and slip them on. Now to find my phone.

Rummaging around in my pants from last night I manage to locate my phone'. There are a few messages from Whitney I choose to ignore, I reply to a message from Ben and one from my boss before locking my phone again. As I turn to leave the room, I completely miss my pocket and my phone smacks loudly against the ground. Katie grumbles and stretches out. Her eyes snap open, she sits straight up in the bed taking in her surroundings.

I wave at her, "Hi sleepy head. Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you."

She flops back onto the bed covering her face with her arms. "Tell me that I didn't actually throw up last night, that it was all a bad dream."

I laugh, "Afraid not. It was a very real mess."

"Ugh," She groans, "I'm so embarrassed. Sorry Derek. You totally didn't have to take care of me. But thanks for doing it anyway."

I sit on the edge of the bed and pat her bare thigh, "No big deal. It happens. You hungry? I was just about to go downstairs and see what I can round up."

Her hair swishes as she shakes her head. "Thanks, but I probably should go get a shower. I really appreciate it though."

"Anytime, you've got my number. And you definitely know where to find me." I grin at her.

She blushes bright red and I leave her to get herself together.
