Before I know it spring break is upon us. The weather has started to warm up and parties are becoming more frequent again. Things have been going well for Whitney and I lately, she's definitely a high maintenance girlfriend but most of the time I don't mind. We've spent time with Corey and Ash, Jason and Riley, it's been nice. She has her moments where she gets jealous or wants it to just be the two of us but nothing I can't handle.

I've tried to get her to understand that Katie and Sam are just friends as well but she does not like when I talk to them and I might as well forget about actually seeing them. Even offering to go out as a group is out of the question. Katie I understand I guess, given our history and all, but I don't know why she has such a problem with Samantha.

It's the weekend before spring break starts and we're all sitting outside discussing our plans. Corey and Ashley are going away again, this time just to the beach a few hours away but still. He spoils that girl. Whitney keeps eyeing me like she's waiting for me to say something. So finally I address her, "Why do you keep staring at me like that babe?"

"Oh nothing, I was just wondering if we had any big plans for the break?"

I feel bad but I have to be honest, "No, not really. I mean I figured we could go see a movie, hang out here. You know, just spend some time together really."

She rolls her eyes at me, "You mean the same things we always do."

I decide to just leave it at that. No sense in arguing in front of everyone. Riley and Jason are going away just for the weekend so they can be alone but they'll be here the rest of the time. Don't get me wrong, I wish I could afford to whisk her off somewhere tropical and have a real spring break, it's just not in the budget right now. I have to keep my savings for summer. Who knows how much rent is going to be or if I'll be able to find full time work.

She spends the rest of the day pouting about how everyone gets to go away and we're staying here doing nothing. Sometimes she sounds like a child but I'm doing my best to make her happy. After dinner she threw a fit and left, leaving everyone asking me why she's so upset. I tried to explain the best way I could, blaming myself so she didn't come out looking like the bad guy.

Corey left around 9:00 to finish packing so him and Ash can leave tomorrow morning. A plan has been brewing in my head all night and there's no better time than now to talk to her about it. I felt like a huge ass for even thinking about asking but I know Whitney is going to spend the entire week pouting if I don't do something. Knocking on her door I take a deep breath and sigh.

"Come in!"

I laugh when I open the door and she's sitting in a pile of clothes with her open suitcase in front of her, "He's going to kick your ass Ashley Grace!"

"I know, I should've just told him to come up and help me! I wanted him to be proud of me for being ready though."

"You're a nut you know that? But while we're on the subject of your trip can I ask you a question?"

She scrunches her eyebrows together, "That doesn't sound good but shoot."

"You saw how she was acting because I didn't have any plans for us right? Would you absolutely hate me if I asked if we could tag along just for the weekend? We could leave Monday morning so you two can still have the whole week alone together. I just can't afford to take her off on our own."

I hold my breath waiting for her response.

"But how would you guys get back? I mean we can't bring you guys all the way back Monday. I'm not against it but I have to ask Corey first, he's the one paying for everything."
