He was making his way back home. He was disturbed by the events, but more disturbed to know that he couldn't make sense of anything. No matter what he thought, nothing fell into place. He silently entered his house, and made his way towards his room without greeting anyone.

"What's wrong with him?" Jackson asked, making faces at him.

"Let him be. By his looks, he'll be back here in 5 minutes," Jaebum replied indifferently.

"How do you know?"

Jaebum hit Jackson's head lightly with a carrot he was peeling, earning him a frown from the younger. "As if you don't know him! He's clearly not getting answers to something in his mind, and it seems important, so he'll come."

It didn't even take 5 minutes for Jinyoung to emerge from his room, "Hyung I want to ask something." His voice clearly depicted his anxiety.

"Told you," Jaebum said eyeing Jackson, before turning his attention to Jinyoung and signaling towards the seat near the kitchen counter, "Come here!"

"Tell us what happened," Jackson spoke first, unable to hide his curiosity, and Jaebum rolled his eyes.

"Guys this is serious. Hyung, remember I once told you about the guy who saved me twice, at different times? I thought this was just a coincidence, as I didn't know him," Jinyoung started to speak addressing Jaebum.

"Yah! You never told me!" Jackson complained in the midst of the conversation.

"You could've saved that for later!! Well as you've mentioned it now, so to remove the confusion, know that you weren't there that time, and it wasn't a big deal," Jaebum spoke in a clearly annoyed tone before turning to Jinyoung, "Something happened again?"

Jinyoung nodded in response, and continued, "I might've not been able to make my way back home tonight. A billboard near my company was about to fall on me when that person appeared again to save me." There was a moment of silence, and both Jaebum and Jackson understood the reason behind his behavior. "And you know what's strange?" He asked before giving the answer himself, "He just ran away after that. It feels strange, as if he didn't want to face me. It can't be a coincidence, right?"

"Or it can be one." All of them turned their head only to find Nayeon standing in the living room. Jinyoung was a bit embarrassed, when he clearly didn't have to, but it was the first time that his thoughts were opened up in front of someone whom he didn't get used to, yet.

"Yeah, very smart," he replied sarcastically, only to get a punch on the shoulder from both Jackson and Jaebum.

"I really mean it could be one. You know there are people who are here to guard us too. They appear at the most unexpected times," she replied. He was caught off guard for unknown reasons, and stared plainly at her. He would've believed that it was her naive side speaking, but it was clearly not, and he knew it. At that moment, she reminded him of someone who spoke the similar lines to him. He remembered how he used to believe in those words until his world fell apart in front of his own eyes. She didn't resemble the speaker of those words by any means, but she unknowingly re-opened a deep wound that Jinyoung could never heal. Those were the words by the person who meant the world to him; his mother.

He got up and steadied himself before anyone would notice the change, "Yes, I agree, but what happened here could actually mean more than that." He ruffled her hair as he passed by her, but refused to look at her. He didn't notice Jackson almost choking on water, surprised by his action. In fact he was also surprised by his own action. Before leaving the living room, a thought made him stop in his tracks as he chuckled. "Seems like I've gotten a permanent guardian with me (referring to his savior)," he spoke which resulted in an unstoppable laughter from Jaebum, and a confused look from Nayeon.
