It was past 12:00 a.m. and he was making his way home, slowing his pace to match that of the person beside him. She was looking at her surroundings and getting amazed at every little thing. They finally reached his house, and he unlocked the door. He signaled for her to go ahead, as he shut the door behind them.
The first sight he met was the questioning stare of Jaebum, who was standing there in the apron holding a broth spoon in his hand. Instead of explaining the situation to him, Jinyoung let out a chuckle. 'Ah this hyung~' he thought.
"Mind explaining?" Jaebum said. Jinyoung followed his line of sight to find him looking at Nayeon's luggage, which was carried by Jinyoung.
"Can you follow me to my room for a second?" Jinyoung asked as he walked in the direction of his room, followed by Jaebum. As they turned to close the door behind, they almost jumped to see Nayeon who was also following without them knowing.
"Seriously this girl," was all Jinyoung managed to say before turning to Jaebum, "Wait here hyung, I'll take her to the living room."
Jaebum nodded as Jinyoung asked Nayeon to follow. "Sit here till I come. Don't you think he needs an explanation, especially with that?" He pointed towards the luggage. Nayeon nodded in response, and he made his way to his room.
Jinyoung entered his room, and started to explain the situation in detail.
Jaebum was rubbing his forehead, taking in the details and spoke, "What are you going to do for now? You have trust issues with people, and you never allowed any stranger to enter like that, especially if it's a girl."
"Hyung I don't know why I did that. She didn't have a place to stay, and I thought she might've gotten herself in trouble if I left her there like that."
Jaebum sighed before speaking, "I think I can understand. She saved you from a critical situation, even when she didn't know you, but don't you think we need to know why she doesn't have a place to stay."
"I have many questions in my mind too, hyung. It didn't feel right to ask in that situation, but I'll ask her later."
"Alright then!" Jaebum exclaimed getting up, "Let's have dinner first."
They were about to make their way outside, when they heard a scream from the living room. They both looked at each other with their eyes wide open, recognizing the owner of the voice.
"He's here??" Both of them said in unison. Jaebum didn't spare a second, and went out of the room.
"I think dinner can wait," Jinyoung sighed and muttered to himself.
Jaebum returned, bringing someone along with him, who had shock clearly written on his face. Yes, he was there—Jinyoung's other housemate—Jackson Wang.
"You seem like you've seen a ghost," Jinyoung said, earning him an annoyed look from Jackson.
"What is going on?" Jackson asked with a confused expression on his face. "I was going to scare you guys, but instead I was the one getting scared," he muttered to himself sounding disappointed, but they had already heard him.
"I wonder if I'm the only normal person here," Jaebum said, a bit too loud.
"Says who??" Jinyoung and Jackson said in unison, earning them a glare from the elder.
"Guys I'm seriously confused," Jackson said tapping his feet in confusion.
"I think we have a long explanation to do," Jinyoung spoke, as he signaled Jackson to take a seat.
