Chapter 27: The Betrayal

Chapter 27

Sloane's head just limps down and I untie her and carry her body to the woods and dump it in the woods. I hate her so much that i hope the animals in the woods tear her body apart. Janey appears behind me and taps on my shoulder.

" Hey, my reputation was destroyed by that family. Im afraid to show my face in district 7. Everybody hated me except Johanna so I had to stay in my house. I killed 8 tributes and I was only 12. I was dubbed as the most ruthless twelve year old in all of panem. Most of my district still hates my guts", she says.

Janey and me walk back towards the victors village. Peeta has Rue, Finnick, and Olivia ready to go. He is also ready to go. " You ready", he says. "Yeah, I'm ready", I say taking his hand. Haymitch is also coming with us.

We reach the doctor's office and we take a seat. After about 20 minutes the doctor calls Peeta and me back. haymitch stays back and watches the kids. The doctor tells me to lay on the table. I do as I am instructed.

The doctor has his machine beside me. He pulls up my shirt and places the button on my stomach. There is some movement on the computer. he studies the image for a couple of minutes. Then he turns and looks at me and says," Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Mellark you have a baby girl."

The look on Peeta's face is amazing. I can tell that he is happier the 3rd time then the first two. We leave the doctors office and we walk back to the house. We get back to the house and I see Jordan talking to somebody. I start to walk over there but then I stop. I just leave her alone and walk back into my house.

I sit Finnick, Rue, and Olivia down and say," Well, you are going to have a new baby sister." There smiling and then they go back upstairs. Jordan walks in and hands me a piece of paper. It says," Katniss I am pleased to see how things are going back in district 12. I need you and Peeta ONLY to come to the capitol because were having a victor's coranation. Thanks, Silver Coin.

Jordan runs out of the house and I run after her. I cut her off and tackle her to the ground. " Why didnt you told me you have a sister", I say. "Okay just listen to me. My mom and coin were step sisters. So silver is my cousin and she is not evil", Jordan says. I let her up and we walk back to the house.

We walk back into the house and I feel dizzy. I then see peeta running towards me before i collapse on the floor. I wake up and I'm in my bed. Peeta is beside me and he is happy to see me awake. I ask," What happened?"

"We found a dart in the back of your neck. I think somebody's trying to get your attention", Peeta says. "How long have I been out", I ask. " about 5 hours", Peeta says. We then hear a scream.

I get up and I see Jordan with a knife to Janey's neck. "Anybody follows me and I will end Janey's life."
