Zayn
What in the world is happening?
Was the only thought that ran through his mind as he walked along the street to see a beautiful girl arguing with an older man who looked older than his real age.
He had seen her around campus, laughing at her antics as she is seen running through the corridors looking like she is a spy, after a felon.
He had heard from his friend that her name was Thea.
Thea. I thought it was a spectacular name for someone as kooky as her as I watched her stare down the older man, I looked closely and saw two travel mugs peeking out from her slightly open backpack.
Two travel mugs?
Why does she need two travel mugs?
I turned around and walked home, my thoughts wandering around the five foot nothing girl who seemed to intimidate the man who looked like a skyscraping building.
I knocked on the door waiting for my mother who should have been home by now. I was getting impatient as I had been waiting for five minutes, I started tapping my foot against the rocky ground, my eyes went from my phone to the door - the time goes by.
"Oh! You're home Zayn," my mother exclaimed with relief swimming in her ocean blue eyes that were identical to mine - our eyes were clear blue with no other colours swirling within them. Her calming aura radiated around her and onto me and I felt myself relax as every second went by.
I mumbled a quick hello and gave her a long hug, I had to crouch down a bit as she was only five foot which didn't help my six-foot height. I pulled back and trailed into the kitchen hoping to get something to snack on before going to my room to take a long-awaited nap but instead, I was met with mashed potato slithering down our orange walls, and a messy toddler right in the middle of the kitchen counter.
"Mom!" I called out, hoping she would hurry because I am not getting mash potato on me today.
"Yes, Zayn?" She questioned as she walked into the kitchen, her eyes on the small thread that seemed to have annoyed her, she was pulling and tugging at it so I cleared my throat. Her head swung up to look at me and her eyes were questioning me why I called her but all I did was direct her eyes to the toddler, that was covered from head to toe in mashed potato and dribble running down his mouth, with the movement of my head.
She followed my head movement and released an audible gasp as she looked at the horrific scene in front of her, leaving her dazed and me to chuckle at my little brother's stunts.
I cleaned the walls while my mother frustratedly picked up Carson to go give him a bath, in the process of picking him up she smothered the soggy food all over her maxi dress and she let out an irritated sigh.
I shook my head while cleaning and finished it up within twenty minutes and went up to my room to sleep.
My mind still occupied with thoughts on this Thea girl and with her on my mind I finally fell into a deep sleep that hopefully would last until the morning.
