Zayn
Kiss her?
Where did this thought come from? My face must look like I came face to face with the clown from IT, Pennywise.
Scared and full of horror.
She still carried on talking, not noticing my inner-conflict that seemed to be about her, I had cut her off by placing my hands on top of her lips - her words came out muffled and she was not happy to be silenced.
"As I was saying..." I gave her a pointed glare for cutting me off, "I was thinking we should hang out more often." It plunged out of my mouth before I could think about it.
I felt vulnerable, waiting for Thea to process what I said and reply.
"You want to hang out with me?" SHe questioned but this time she used her hands to make various shapes that were quite distracting but I smiled replying with a nod.
She perked up instantly, "So you won't kill me right?" Her voice had a twinge of hope and fear which made me feel a knot in my stomach.
"Why would I even... Nevermind," I concluded wondering what she thought I would kill her.
"Are you joking mate? Your glare has killed me a billion times already, got me buried six feet under" She replied shocked that I didn't know I was that scary.
Her British accent made it sound melodious that I hadn't realised what she had said.
"I don't glare at you," I retorted, positive that I would have never done that to her.
"Well not at me but I've seen you glare at others and your glares are bullets making the person sweat buckets and wither in panic," she replied, her body acting out the victim's action making me chuckle.
We had walked down the streets, our destinations unknown and had talked the whole way, I had a great time just forgetting about all of the stress and troubles that come with the university and just life in general.
Thea had been a breath of fresh air in my cruel dark world, I hadn't expected her to ever notice me or even look my way twice but I'm glad she did or else I would have missed the chance of meeting a great girl who seems to be full of life.
Something in her eyes tells me there is more to her than the peppiness she presents and I don't know if I want to find out and realise that the girl I thought was perfect has problems herself.
Her eyes hold a certain sadness that is hiding in the corner but I can see it along with the happiness she puts up along with it.
We had coincidentally reached her apartment, which was a few blocks away from my home and she had turned to me, smiling brightly and held out her hand, "So friends?" she asked with a twinkle in her eyes.
"Friends," I said with finality in my voice, making her smile even wider if that was possible.
She turned away and walked through the doors and that was the last of her I had seen for the day.
