Thea
Mel had finally been able to tell us most of the story but as soon as she was going to spill who the 'he' she was talking about a phone shrilled, ruining all of our hearing and Mel's mood.
I realised it was my phone, "Sorry," I mumbled - sad I was the reason to interrupt the story, making Mel feel more apprehensive about telling us more.
I walked out of Mel's room to make it a little less awkward and went to the kitchen to make myself a good cup of milk tea.
Saxon.
I picked up, wondering why he was calling when he would be busy with work.
I wedged the phone between my shoulder and left ear while grabbing the milk and tea bag.
"Hey, brother dearest!" I exclaimed a bit happy that he called as I haven't spoken to him in a month.
"Hi, T!" He elongated the 'T' and I knew immediately that something was wrong.
2What's wrong?" I demanded, scared from his hesitant to answer as far as I know Saxon is confident and straight-forward he would never beat around the bush unless it's really important or life-threatening.
"How do you know me so well?" He sighed, tension hung around me as I was anxious to hear the news.
"Sax, I've known you since I was born and plus you're like my twin even though you're six years older" I retorted, wondering why he always asks that when I realise what mood he is in.
"So cut to the chase, what is the news? Is it bad? Like really bad? Or is it in the middle?" I questioned him endlessly, without giving him time to answer the questions I had.
"Thea!" He screamed, frustrated.
"Well..." I replied, equally frustrated at him for taking his time to spill the horrific news, it seems to be worse than horrific by the way I could hear the panic in his deep voice and the way he kept distracting me.
"Just tell me," I finally countered.
Ding Dong!
"One second, Saxon, someone is at the door," I rushed towards the door as Rose was still with Mel and they are probably talking and won't be able to get the door.
I pulled open the wooden door, hoping it won't be long as I wanted to know the news Saxon had to give me.
I opened the door, still stirring the brown sugar into the tea - adding the final touches.
"Hello," the voice called out, scaring the life out of me as I jumped back and I heard a familiar chuckle, deep but soft like bells.
"Zayn!" I exclaimed, "What are you doing here?" I asked - curiosity filled my mind.
"Saxon, I got to go - tell me in a second"
"What are you doing here?" I opened the door more to let him in.
We had been friends for a while now, a few weeks have gone by since the supermarket incident.
"I wanted to make sure Melissa was alright and just talk to you," He replied, smirking quite impishly which scared me - which I was afraid to admit to him.
