The moon was full again and I went to the surface, I was curious to know if the man came back, he did. I couldn't help but feel sorry for him, but it seemed he was crying for a different reason and I've had a feeling that I'm being followed all day. I HAD seen a girl at the beach today, but she-well I THINK she didn't see me. Anyway, he was there when I got to the surface. The moon had passed behind the clouds, and when he saw me. He saw me before I could dive back under, before I could speak, he spoke first.
"Marina?" he called. I froze. He knew about us, at least Mom anyway.
"Marina!" he called again, it wasn't a question any more. "Marina! I knew you'd come back to me!" he caught his breath. "Marina, Audrey knows something is wrong. She knows I won't tell her what's bothering me, but I... I can't, won't tell her, but she knows, Marina! She knows."
"Who are you?" my voice was scared sounding. "I'm not Marina."
"You, you... don't know me?" his voice broke. "You don't remember me? All those years we were married! And you don't KNOW me?"
"My mother is Marina." I sounded confident.
"Aryella?" he knew my name???? "Aryella! Are you?"
"Y, y, yes." I was scared. Scared.
"OF COURSE, you wouldn't know me!" HE sounded confident now. "I'm your father, Scott." Scott! The name hit me across the face with the force of a blue whale! The name Mom muttered in her sleep! He started to say something else. But I sank back into the water, mesmerized. -Aryella
