I brought Audrey back up to the surface, not before we had a good long talk though. This is how it went;
Me: So, who are you? Details, details.
Audrey: Well, my name is Audrey.
Me: Last name?
Audrey: Sondra.
Me: Parents?
Audrey: I've never met my mother, but my father is around.
Me: I've, well, I HAVE met my father. Last night.
Audrey: What???
Me: I said, I met my dad for the FIRST time last night.
Audrey: My mother was important to my dad.
Me: Wait! What is your dad's name?
Audrey: Scott.
Me: Um, Audrey, what was your mom's name?
Audrey: Don't know. But Dads mentioned it, oh right! Marina, I think it was! He only mentioned it once and he only started to say it.
Me: Audrey!!
Audrey: What? Was it something I said? Tell me! Let me fix it! Whatever it was, I didn't mean it!
Me: You said nothing Audrey! It's just the most happy moment in my life!
Audrey: What??
Me: I HAVE A SISTER!!!
Audrey: Yeah, who?
Me: Audrey! You!!
Audrey fainted then, and it took a while for her to wake up. When she did, she stared at me.
"Is it true? Am I a mermaid?" She asked.
"Not yet," I said, "But you can become one to our kind we call ½ human and mermaids smers."
"How??" she wanted to know, WOW! She was eager! "Wait! Can I still live with Dad?"
"Yeah." I answered. "I go up and pass as human All the time."
" Huh?"
"I already said I could." I was the one eager now, except for a different reason than Audrey was. "But first, you need to go up to your dad." (well I guess he's my dad to but I don't LIVE with him.)
"But, I-"
"Now!" WOW! I didn't know I was so stern!!"
Audrey went, but unwillingly. I had to LITERALLY DRAG her up, flipping her tail madly and screaming. What a DAY!
