Authors Note ❤

I am so sorry for not writing in forever. I just couldn't think of anything to write and I didn't want to continue writing when I didn't like it. I doubt there are many people left waiting for me to update - if it was me I would have left ages ago. Again I'm so sorry and I'm going to write a long chapter to try and make it up to you all. If you're confused at all in this chapter (which you most likely will be) go back and read previous chapters or feel free to comment or inbox me :) x P.S I'm sorry for switching POV's so much in this chapter but I wanted to get both Keith's and Jamie's preparations and reactions to the date. Enjoy!

|| Keith’s POV ||

Standing at the jewellery shop I looked at all the products. After leaving Jamie feeling very confused at the hospital I got in my car and drove straight here. I felt kind of bad for leaving Jamie but I had to keep planning for tonight. Tonight. I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited and nervous at the same time. After Jamie’s accident and coming so close to losing her, I feel more in love with her than ever. I definitely don’t want to lose her after all of this.

“Excuse me,” I said, clearing my throat. An elderly lady looked up from the watch she was cleaning and raised an eyebrow in question. “I was wondering if you had any necklaces with initials on them.” She nodded and beckoned for me to come with her. “Over here,” she said, pointing at a wide array of gorgeous necklaces. With my mouth agape, I stared. If I as a boy thought these were beautiful surely any girl in her right mind would find these breathtaking.

The letters of the alphabet sat delicately on silver chains. My eyes scanned over the variety until I found the one I was looking for. J. “Would you be able to get this one out please. J.” I clarified. “Sure,” the lady said. Taking the corresponding key off her lanyard she opened the glass door and carefully pulled out my chosen necklace. I put my hands out and let her drop the necklace in the palm of my hands. It’s even more beautiful up close. “Mum? Girlfriend?” the lady asked. I blushed a deep shade of red and smiled shyly. “Friend,” I clarified. She raised an eyebrow again. “I’m planning a date tonight. I want to ask her to be my girlfriend.” For the first time since I’d met her, the lady smiled. “She’s one lucky girl.”

Walking out of the jewellers I checked my phone. 2:29pm. Shit. I’d asked Jamie to meet me at 5pm. I only have 2 and a half hours to finish off the date preparations. Shoving the phone into my back pocket I reached my car and hopped in. What what what what what. Macklemore’s “Thrift Shop” came blasting out of my phone and I grabbed it quickly. Jamie’s name flashed on the screen and I felt a smile envelope my face. God, I’d fallen for her so hard.

A picture of her came up. Not remembering when I put it there, I realised Jamie must have done it when I wasn’t looking. She looked radiant. I’ve never seen a more beautiful girl in my life. Only now do I realise how fast my heart is beating. Snapping out of my phase, I click the green answer button. “Hey beautiful,” I greeted. I could hear laughter and giggling in the background but no immediate answer. “Hello? Jamie?” A squeal erupted and I could hear breathing on the other end.

“Hi Keith!” Jamie’s pleasant voice flowed through the phone and I could tell she was smiling even though I couldn’t see her. “What just happened?!” I asked, laughing. “Well,” she started. “We’re at the shops trying on dresses and I was going to call to ask for your opinion. Then Kathrine saw I was calling you and had a small meltdown,” she laughed into the phone which made me smile. “What did you want my opinion on?” “Oh just what dress, you know for tonight, uh yeah.” “You’ll look beautiful in anything,” I said shyly. I could hear a squeal in the background and took it was Kathrine. I laughed.
