((Song of the chapter: Hey Now by Hillary Duff))

Thusday came around quite quickly. I spent most of the week staring at my piano, reading a romantic novel, eating, and most importantly netflix. If I got paid to watch netflix I would be one rich chick. I also bickered with my mom every other minute, but whats new.

I rolled out of bed around 9:00 am and shower. I make sure to shave my legs 3 times to make sure I don't leave a single hair on my legs because I am planning on wearing a dress for this evening's diner. I dry my hair and straighten it, pulling back and clipping some hair back. I throw on some sweats and a tank top before heading downstairs for breakfast.

"Goodmorning Addison!" My mother seems happy, too happy.

"Hi mom, what's for breakfast?"

"Addison do you really expect me to be making you breakfast? You're seventeen years old for goodness sake! A few years from now you will be living on your and will have to do this on your own!" Okay I take that whole my mom being happy back.. She is completely and utterly herself today.

"Okay okay I'll make myself breakfast." Once again not being in the mood to argue I pour myself a bowl of frosted flakes without milk because I really hate milk in my cereal. There's just something about soggy food that makes my stomach churn. I take my seat at the table and text Sydney while eating.

*Me: Hey syd you'll never guess who is coming over tonight.. *

*Sydney: who?? *

*Me: The Vahnhansens.. Plz helppppppp*

*Sydney: Wish I could hun! But mom is taking me and the sibs to the water park tonight. Good luck and i know you will need it*

*Me: Gee thanks have fun*

I wish my mom would take me to water parks instead of traping me in this house with endless diner parties. I hate having to constantly put on a fake smile and act like I love life and that I agree with my parents plans for my future. One time my mom's best friend from college came over for diner and I decided to tell her all about my real plans for the future. Let's just say I didn't have contact with the outside world for a while...

I clean up my bowl and find myself in Shane's room. He is still sleeping which doesn't surprise me but I'm bored so I begin jumping on his bed trying to wake him up. Despite my efforts, he lays their still and sound asleep so I grab a cup, fill it with water, and dump it on his face.

"WHAT IN THE.." Shane jolts upright and we make eye contact. "Addie Marie I am going to beat your ass!" Shane jumps out of bed and chases me down stairs. I run to the counter daring him to make a move. I dash across the kitchen to the sitting room and Shane is close to follow but he trips over the lamp cord in the process leaving it to fall and crash to the ground.

"Well you're screwed." I say with complete seriousness. My mother is obessed with this sitting room. It's her pride and joy and where she spends the majority of her time.

"Shut up." His eyes are wide and he is grinding his teeth together. Shane inspects the lamp before sitting upright again, luck for him only a piece of the base chipped off so he positions it so it is barely noticible. As he carefully does so I take this as my chance to escape, running to my run and shutting the door. I would lock it too, but my parent's felt it was unfit for their high school children to have locks on their door. Reason number four million fifty two I am excited to get out of this place.

I curl up on my giant hot pink beanbag chair with my laptop nervously awaiting Shane bursting into my room. To my surprise he didn't so I spend my afternoon listening to music and browsing through social media and check my e-mail. I usually don't recieve many e-mails besides the daily store e-mails but one address catches my eye.
