IT WASN'T LONG until they would arrive at Ego's home. The ship smoothly landed into a docking port. Mantis wakes her Master who meets Astrid and the team near the doors.

As they exit the ship, Astrid has never been amazed by the view his planet had to offer. "Oh wow." She softly says as she looks around. She joins Ego and the Guardians into a small floating pad that brings them to their destination.

The Guardians were intrigued by the vast land of his planet. All over was just plain beauty with beautiful colours of different species of plants and aliens. "Welcome, friends, to my world"

"Wow. You have your own planet?" Peter said in awe. "It's no larger than your Earth's moon." He said. Astrid saw a floating bubble and poked it, making it explode into tiny little colourful replicas. She smiled to Drax who did the same.

The two watch as the bubbles disappear into thin air. "Humility. I like it. I too, am extraordinarily humble." Drax says which made Astrid roll her eyes but it had put a smile on her lips.

The floating platform soon arrived at their destination. It was a huge palace, with beautiful fountains out by the front it was like it was built for Ego himself.

Astrid couldn't believe the beauty of it. But she still question on how was this man, who looked homeless, manage to destroy over two dozen ships and own a planet.

They came to a halt in the middle of the room. "You own a planet and can destroy two dozen spaceships without a suit. What are you exactly?" Gamora asked.

Astrid turns her attention away from the designs of the palace walls and turns to the ongoing conversation. "I'm what they call a Celestial, sweetheart."

"Like a God?" Astrid asks astound. Ego turns and has a small grin on his face. "Small 'g' hun. On most days, when I'm feeling humble like Drax."

They continue to walk on and when they come across pods that stood around the room like stations, they stopped right in front of one. "This form you see is only a extension of myself. I don't know where I come from exactly." Particles in the pod started to gather up, forming an image.

"I feed on matter around me like a plankton. Growing smarter and stronger." Now the image turned into a brain, with the brain flickering as it gathers signals. "I formed a sheathe to protect myself from the elements."

"Continued on. Layer by layer, the very planet your standing on. But I was no ant to be solely fulfilled by labour. I wanted more. I desired meaning." Astrid thought that what he just said was something a super villain would say but she brushed that thought off as she was more focused on the particles right now.

"There must be some life out there in the universe besides me, I thought, and I set myself to task with finding it." The particles now create the skeletal system of a human body, with nerves connecting to the brain and such.

"I created what I imagined biological life might be like, down to the very most minute detail." Astrid continues to be in awe as she watches the particles in the pod create a human being, specifically to what seemed a younger version of Ego. "Wow" She whispered.

"Did you make a penis?" Drax suddenly asks. Everyone turns around disgusted by him but Astrid just finds this amusing and laughs. "Dude!" Peter scowls at Drax.

"If he's a planet, how did he make a baby with your mother? He would smush her." Drax was defensive. "We don't need to hear about how my parents, you know—" Astrid laughed even more at the uncomfortable look Peter gave.

"Why? My father would tell me the story of impregnating of my mother every winter solstice."

"I think we all know how to have sex, Drax. No need to tell us." Astrid said after finally calming herself down. "Maybe not her, but all of us do." Peter snorts. Astrid instantly turns around at the comment given and punches Peter in the shoulders. "Oww."

"Just because I'm go both ways, doesn't mean I don't get some." She snarled back. "Jeez." Peter said rubbing his shoulder in pain. "Yes, Drax, I've got a penis."

Oh my god.

"It's not that bad. I've also got pain receptors, a digestive system, and all the accompanying junk. I wanted to experience what it truly meant to be human as I set out amongst the stars." Astrid watches as the particle creates a fully formed Ego right before her eyes. She lets out a small woah as she watches.

"I visited thousands of planets over thousands of years, one barren husk after the next until I found what I sought." Ego points at the pod where now a small alien baby child was created. There, floating in the vast space of the pod. "Life. I was not alone in this universe after all."

Astrid sort of felt bad, loneliness was all Ego had. Isolation. She knew how that felt, she lived the majority of her life isolated, abandoned, but she knew it was différent on how Ego had been for the past thousands of years.

"When did you meet my mother?" Peter asks, getting more curious each second about his heritage. "Not long after. It was with Meredith that I experienced love for the first time. I called her my River Lilly. From that love, came you, Peter."

Astrid turns to her left and sees Peter watch in awe as he hears the story of himself for the very first time. He had the slightest smile on his face and Astrid couldn't help but smile at her own brother's happiness.

"I searched for you for so long. But when I heard about a man who held a Infinity Stone without dying. I knew it must be the son of the woman I loved." Ego places a comforting hand on Peter's shoulder. Astrid knew not to believe this man, but would Peter really believe her?

By the looks of Peter, she knew that he was having trouble trying to believe what Ego was saying. He maybe Peter's father but it doesn't mean he's a good man. "If you loved her, why did you leave her?"
