Mobbed by the L.A.P.D. Homicide Squad, Chief of Detectives Danforth comes to the rescue, as Trigger Happy Frank Merriman, P.I. and his son Scott finds out what to do with a 50-year-old con man as they seek the witnesses who are part of the California Federal Mafia. Some mysteries to be solved have never looked into so good to his Merriman Investigations team as the detectives - especially Frank himself - are concerned over the mob.

A few weeks later, Trigger Happy Frank is driving his luxury sports coupe, the Merriman Crosshairs, to Sacramento, searching for a convenience-store cracksman vying for stealing all - if not part - of an entire retail format, proving Dennis Shockley could get arrested by a crack law enforcer from the Sacramento P.D. His name is Officer Matt Braddock, age 23. Nicknamed "The Man of Aluminum," Officer Braddock  points a .44 caliber semi-automatic revolver hand gun at Shockley, while the latter shoots Officer Braddock in the neck and left and right arms.

Frank and Scott Merriman run to the C-store and rescues the clerk and other Chevron staffers in Sacramento from Shockley's disrupted shooting - so that the professional gentleman thief, con artist and professional cracksman would steal all items from countless retail store operators of all types. "O.K., Dennis Shockley, let's track down Officer Braddock so that he can recover from the shooting by mid-month!" Trigger Happy Frank warns the C-store clerk.

"Eradicate all mafia assignments, and tell the Sacramento Police Department Officer Braddock is recovering from shots fired by Dennis Shockley."

"Frank, dare me to go after the Man of Aluminum while Shockley practices surgery on most of his body parts, " says the convenience store clerk.

"Let Wade the Blade and my other personnel at Merriman Investigations convince Mr. Braddock to recover from Shockley's recent convenience store shooting," says Frank.

Meanwhile, while hunting down mafia troublemakers in Sacramento, Bill "MacGuffinator" Case, California Federal Mafia executive in charge of detectives, says, "You, Agent O'Reilly, will tackle a few more investigations concerning the mob in ever new ways."

Andrew Roderick O'Reilly, aka Drew, an agent with the California Federal Mafia, asks Case, "Who am I 'bout to infiltrate, mob executive?"

Case explains, "Fire back at Detective 'Trigger Happy' Merriman 'cause Merriman Investigations's main man against the California Federal Mafia, Wade the Blade, will cross examine the evidence.

"You knew how important Dennis Shockley was at backfiring convenience store suspects here in Sacramento; therefore, O'Reilly, my best hope 'Trigger Happy' Frank Merriman, P.I. takes a page - running more evidence through the paper shredder - and reveals the evidence involving all mob suspects vying for redemption!"

Case is on the hunt for more California-based urban mobsters. But can that state, home of, for and to the most wanted crime bosses, commit mafia justice?

Officer Braddock interrogates Case on Detective Merriman's highest ranks in law enforcement.

"Trigger happiness refers to Frank's involvement at Merriman Investigations.

"What matters is what Frank Merriman, P.I. - going by 'Trigger Happy' - always gets all his men."

"Yes, Braddock," Case replies.

Braddock asks Case, "What would Frank Merriman, P.I. do when the California Federal Mafia is crusading the war on unsubsidized crime?"

"Braddock," answers Case, "I, Bob Case, will follow Detective 'Trigger Happy' Merriman on his case, no matter what Detective and Mrs. Merriman whacks the mafia in California. And, to build Franklin Ernest Merriman's rich case-cracking legacy, Braddock, he makes sure the Merrimans are capable of wiping out federal-mafia justice in the West."

"Think of him," Officer Braddock responds.

"Kill the entire California Federal Mafia team of hoodlums going after the FBI!" Case shouts.

"Crack the case, Mr. Case," Officer Braddock swears.

According to Trigger Happy Frank, Braddock searches for clues to what the members of the mob look like old-time 1930s gangsters going after each other.
