"We had to replace your right leg with a fake. Your leg crumpled in between the two vehicles and the nerves died in that leg, so this was the best thing to do." the doctor said to me. "But learning how to walk with it will not be too much of a problem, Mason has promised to help you while you are learning after he is fully able to walk, which should be tomorrow, but we don't want you to start trying to walk until next week." with that the doctor left us alone in my room and my parents went with her, leaving just Mason and me in the room.
"You know, you don't have to help me, right?" I said to him.
"I know," he said. "But that is what friends are for, especially boyfriend or girlfriend."
"You're the best person that I know. By the way, how many months pregnant is mom?"
"She is 7 months in." he said, and with that the doctors came to get him for his walking training and left me alone to sleep, which I did very fast.
