The entire council, plus a few other coven members. In total ten of us met with Simon.

"Hello gentlemen." Simon says as we enter the room, he holds out his hand, but nobody takes it. Quickly he puts it down

"Let's begin." Simon looks at me for help, I smile thoughtfully

"Simon, this is Steven, he was Gideons  second hand." I say trying to defuse the tension.

"Hello Steven, please accept my condolences about Gideon."  Simon says trying to keep calm.

Steven gives him a look, of consideration.

"Thank you Simon" he says

I sigh in relief. Then I look at Simon and nod, letting him know he's in.

We all sit down in a semi circle on the chairs and couches

"So Simon." Steven begins
"I know Katie trusts you, and we trust Katie, now tell me, why should we trust you?"

Simon responds faster than I expected him to

"I understand you need a reason to trust you, and I haven't given you one, yet. But I promise if you let me in, I'll give you a reason, or more."

Steven sits up in his seat and puts his hands on his lap

"Okay." And he sits back.

Simon looks at me shocked, I smile. Everything is going smoothly.

"What's your plan Simon?" Steven asks

Simon stands up and back slightly out of the circle

"Well, my father feels the same way I do, he's indecisive, but if I tell him he can trust you he will without question"

He begins

"The town trusts him, they know he wouldn't make a big design like this if he wasn't certain."

"And the others? The ones that camped out here and killed our leader, what of them?" I ask.

"We'll tackle them last, they'll be the hardest the convince." He responds.

We didn't realize it until a few hours after, but after they killed Gideon and passed Simon onto us, all the other humans left. They figured we'd devour Simon and leave him for dead, then come after them, so they got out as soon as we were distracted. Simon was simply their decoy.

"Good plan. I like it." Steven responds
"I can see why Katie trusts you."

Both of us smile, we're one step closer to creating a peaceful world where we can live in harmony together.

"Well then, let's go find your father." I say excitedly.

The other nod in agreement.
