Chapter Fourteen

I got a text message from Caitlin an few minutes after she left.
"What is it?" Asked Iris.
"Caitlin just wants me to talk to her at the park," I said getting changed.
"Oh ok, text me when you are on your way home," she said.

I met Caitlin in the park, she took me to a park bench and sat down.
"Look Barry, I've been meaning to tell you this since College, it's just that I really like you Barry, i think I love you," she said. I was blown away at what just happened.
"You know I'm with Iris right?" I asked her holding her hands.
"I know I just couldn't hold in my feelings anymore," she said, her eyes tearing up.
"It's ok," I said bringing her into a hug.
"I better get going then," she said walking off. I got a text from Cisco. *do you know what is up with Caitlin, she is not answering any of my text and calls?* *yeah something happened between us* *is everything all right?* *yeah* I texted Iris that I was in my way home and drove away.

"What was up?" Asked Iris.
"Oh nothing just something that happened in London," I said lying.
"That reminds me, I don't know why but I haven't asked yet, where do you work?" Asked Iris.
"I work in the forensic department at the CCPD," I said.
"My Dad works there as well,"
"Really?" I asked.
"Yeah detective Joe West,"
"That reminds me I have to be at work into 10mins," I said rushing to get my stuff.
"I've gotta get to work as well, see ya babe," she said giving me a kiss and leaving.

I arrived at the CCPD to find the Captain rushing around trying to find me.
"What's up sir?" I asked.
"We need you at a case downtown, there is a man and we don't know why he is dead," he said.
"I'll be right over,"
