Roller blading

For the first time in 4 years I skated again 3 days ago. I found a rink about 6 hours away from where I live, so, ROADTRIP!! It was really fun, but since I haven't skated in 4 years I was nervous. And also, I haven't fallen in 4 years.

BUT YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENED?? I FELL THRICE.
The first time I fell cause I tried to do the t stop but I was too slow. Second I was watching a girl training with her coach I wasn't paying attention to the cracks in front of me. So I fell in front of the girl and her coach and they both looked at me. Third, I fell watching a bunch of guys do tricks and then I fell over a crack.

The skating rink has been there even before my grandma was born, and they never repaired it.

Anyway, reminders for beginner skaters:

Lol, wait. First I want to clarify that I am self taught and I've only ever skated using in line roller blades.

Okay, let's get started.

1. Do not wear shorts or skirts.
   -You will fall.
2. Do not wear bottoms that are too tight
-You might not be able to move properly.
3. Always wear socks.
   - Personally I wear socls that are three inches above my ankles.
4. Wear kneepads.
   - Again, you will fall.
5. Wear a helmet
   - You will fall.
6. Tie your hair
   - You do not want your hair to irritate you while you skate or else you have a bigger chance of falling.
7. Remove jewelry
   - You might loose them as you skate.

Precautions:

1. Never show of
   - You never know what may happen.
2. Practice your balance
   - This will help you in doing tricks.
3. Tighten your skates
   - The tighter they are the easier it is to skate.
4. Fall forward
   - Falling on your butt is more dangerous than you think.
5. When you fall, disribute the weight.
   - Fall on your knees and then put your palms down roll over being careful not to hit your head.
6. Never think "That's easy"
   - Nothing ever is so don't say that.
7. Have a buddy with you
   - This will give you more confidence promise.
8. Do not keep fragile objects on you
   - *cough* your phone specially *cough*
9. Stay focused
   - Look ahead but also watch your skates.
10. Practice tricks in isolated areas
   - Practice where there aren't much people so you don't hurt anyone and won't be embarrassed when you fail.

That's all!!
P.S. I've only ever skated alone and my parents are against the idea of me skating so do not rely on me too much.
